I’ve played Melee competitively and play SFIV competitively. Don’t be confused with SSB64 or Brawl. Melee requires much much more technical skill. There is basically an infinite level of execution in Melee. A level of execution that far surpasses even Guilty Gear.
The reason why SFIV is such a good game is that execution isn’t terribly hard and that players can move onto mindgames and poking/spacing very quickly. In Melee, the game is mostly decided by your technical skill and playstyle. Of course there are heavy amounts mindgames and spacing involved in Melee, but it is more so that one’s execution is simply better than the opponent’s, which leads to overpowering playstyles beating out others very consistantly rather than mixed player results.

Please tell me I’m being trolled hard LoL. This game reminds me of Power Stone. A really fun party game. Power Stone didn’t become as big as Melee, why? Because it didn’t have Link and Pikachu in it. Other than that, there is no other reason why Power Stone isn’t confused as a tourney level fighter, and Melee magically is.
Let’s face it, the N64 generation got fucked when it came to fighting games and they flocked to a game where “Level of Execution” = “Omg, this is hard because I’m doing moves on an N64 controller, somebody please shoot me.”
By the way, regarding Lucretz’s comic, the part about smashfuckers breaking a stick is true. Couple of them little fuckers broke Jayjay’s stick last year and ran the fuck away.

He is saying there is an infinite level of execution in Smash, as in, people being executed in incomprehensible numbers.
They have brought mucha disuguracu to their famiries, and to people who play competitive beat em up games in general. Therefore, in the guerrilla state that is SRK, they either have the choice of having their worthless lives ended by a cranial Falcon Punch, immolated in PK Fire, or death by digestion in Kirby’s digestive tract. It takes him 2 weeks to fully digest his meals, slowly dissolving and sloughing off their flesh and muscle. Not what you might have hoped from death by a fucking Saturday morning Fox Box cartoon. But what do they know? When you’re too busy beating your dick to cartoon princesses like it’s a minority in an LAPD station, you don’t have time for research.
This level of play is a level none of you will achieve. There is such a high level of technical skill and mindgames that none of you here will ever understand(which in this case, none of you do). And from looking at the way you guys post, you will never get close to even being decent at SFIV with your closed mindsets, unable to accept different types of fighting games just because they’re different.
I really feel sorry for you noobs who think SFIV is the shit. I really do =( Seriously, SFIV is a baby’s game compared to competitive Melee. You noobs complaining about Sagat or not being able to land your little SRK FADC Ultra. Really really sad.

Many people didn’t believe Jesus was the son of God when he was still alive. Maybe Melee just needs to die and ascend to heaven before people understand. Or maybe Jesus wasn’t the son of God, who knows?
SRK has to be like, the only forum I know of, where an obvious troll thread will appear and will succeed every single time because nobody can resist posting in it just to flame the OP or derail the thread.
