Interesting M placement.
Between this and MN9, I am so glad I never really got emotionally invested into this franchise.
This new megaman looks like some parody rendition. His classic design was perfect the way it is I have no idea why it would be changed.
Someone got paid to do that?

It’s not asking much for the new cartoon to take from it and update it, while remaining faithful to it. Maybe it’s a new MM series they want to turn in a game?
It doesn’t take away from the older MM games, but it’s disappointing nonetheless.
I love that the expression on his mouth even makes him look like “Mrrrr…something’s…wrong”

New Mega Man cartoon has been pushed back to 2018…airing exclusive to Cartoon Network.
So cartoon network will delay it/switch the timeslot for it 50 billion times trying to kill it off. Just like they did thundercats 2011. And other stuff not made by them. Seriously why in the FUCK does anyone put there show on cartoon network for these reasons???
In this case, CN will be justified in killing off this POS show.

It doesnt seem any weirder or bad to me then Volnuts design which so weird he looked worse with the iconic helmet on, and he had a stupid ass pet monkey in that one to. No Bass, no Wiley. In BN he was a digital program controlled by a kid who taught computer viruses an shit. The Zero series had a radical design aesthetic and no Megaman or Bass, or Wiley. X had no Wiley or Base. Honestly this design looks like a cross between classic and battle network.
Megaman has had straight up retarded premises that sound stupid as fuck on paper but end up working really well in execution. The show being on CN gives 0 indication of its quality, only that it will be cancled.
I’ll wait to see it before passing judgment. If I judged Megaman based on looks I’d have missed out on a ton of great Megaman.
I’m wry about this show now. The games themselves have annoying sidekicks with Beat and Rush so that’s not a problem. Show me a modern western cartoon that isn’t Avatar that has good character design and aesthetic? Adventure Time and Regular Show look cheap as fuck and I enjoy those shows. I can overcome the lame design.
What I don’t like is the secret identity angle. Mega Man is a robot. Why would he even need a secret identity for? Robots are common place in his settings and Dr. Light is world renown. I don’t see what he could be protecting to require one. Man of Action the creative minds behind the show and I don’t like their body of work. I hated Ben 10, they wrote the worst episodes of Avengers: EMH, they were the driving force of the early seasons of Avengers Assemble, and Ultimate Spider-Man. I’m not confident they will produce something I will enjoy. Being on Cartoon Network it will mean it will get no promotion, be banished to the wee hours of the morning and be pull off the air with no warning to make room for Teen Titan Go reruns.
I’ll still give it 3 episodes to win me over.
