The only thing that I see is just try to time it while they are falling you have quite a bit of time to input Cr.Lp after before they hit the ground so don’t rush and think you wont make it just slow it down, wait tell they reach like Christies mid body tap Mp hold down as they are still falling tap Lp then fs mk a little bit faster you’ll catch them no problem! ^ ^

I noticed that LP Wheel Kicks into s.mp is impossible. It has to be either the MP, HP or EX version.

Otherwise, it’s just a timing thing. Keep practicing until you figure out the timing. I also had trouble with the combo at first, but now I got it down to a point where I can land it 95% of the time. Once you get a feel of the timing, it becomes second nature.

From the first post I understand she can tag partners for free (kinda) super, is it true? cause i couldn’t make it work.

Depends on how you make Helicopter hit for the most part

None that iv’e really seen I tend not to use it as it works better depending on the partner some supers are faster or w.e then others so yeah what is your team?

I go for chocolate team (Elena/Christie) with the idea of Elena scoring hits with her giant limbs, and Christie get in to mixup the hell out of them (got inspired for the idea by Tatsu’s team (Vega/Ling)).

atm I get the feeling Elena got the better mixups with the new link off her overhead…

I have no problem picking Elena as I was considering her all along, hearing she’s goona hit the top this game just makes the pick easier.

Some of Christie’s links are very hard to do, so don’t worry if you can’t do them consistently. s.hp > cr.lp is a 1 frame link I think. It’s hard but it’s really worth practicing it because it’s a good boost to Christie’s Rasteila strings.

Having problem with getting max hits after WK, hp, helicopter

The helicopter part only gives me like 2 or 3 hits out of the 4 and drops out a lot.

Any tips on getting it more consistent

Yeah, that combo is a tough one. Like The Lone Dragon said a few posts above, you kinda have to delay helicopter (very slightly) so that you will connect it late when the opponent is falling down.

Doing MP/HP WK > cr.hp is already hard enough as is. Then you have to time Helicopter and switch cancel it early. And then you have to cancel your partner’s run short so that you have enough time to charge EX into Super. Like I said, it’s a hard combo. I wouldn’t use this in a match (because Yoshi can already combo into a free Super midscreen via EX WK). But it’s still useful if your partner can only do EX WK > Super in the corner because this allows you to do it midscreen.

It’s easier if you add a cr.lp before the cr.hp, but that also scales the combo further.

Arrrm, anyway to for the hs~f combo (mp, cr.lk - mk - mk xx hs ~ f) after boost combo?

whats a good combo when you cant avoid getting the close s.MK in your combos?

Do you mean her tekken chain? cr.lp > mk or do you mean boost chain into those lame blanka kicks?

I think he means the cr.lp>close s.mk instead of cr.lp, fs.mk, mk, ur not alone Flash bec i get the close mk ALOT. I fixed the problem by substituting the cr.lp for cr.lk, it has longer reach so u can wait a bit longer before pressing cr.lk. Example (i dont know the name of her moves that well) j.hk, st.hp>Hp Wheel kick, st.mp, (now u would press cr.lp here and follow up with fs.mk, mk, but get cr.lp>cl.mk ALOT) but i use cr.lk and dont get any problem at all bec of the leniency i get using cr.lk. U have alot of time to hit cr.lk bec of the range and u will always get fs.mk, mk afterwards.

And guys i wanna ask, when tagging in ur partner from the BnB Vulcan posted it ended with cr.lp, cr.hp, lp DAS, i get more damage and an easier time doing ender cr.lp, cr.hp>Mp wheel kick. And doing the follow up combo with my other character it doesn’t scale as well. So i wanna know if there is some tech etc ending with lp das?

Of course. I show it on the video in OP.

Ending your combos with MP/HP DAS doesn’t do anything except more damage. LP DAS creates a longer knockdown which allows you to safely raw tag or safely store a counter hit. Which is infinitely better to dealing 10-20 more damage.

You may be thinking: Christie doesn’t have a comboable overhead with special properties on counter hit, so why store? Well it’s always good to store a ch. For mind games, more damage, easier links. + more importantly it makes throw easier to land and makes people more eager to reversal or backdash (depends on matchup).

But you’re comparing that to switching with MP wheel kicks which isn’t the same kind of combo at all. The first one is meterless, MP WK xx switch costs 1 meter.

Just FYI, ending juggles with HS Perchflop Kick x switch and HS Helicopter xx switch does more damage than WK.

If it’s after wheel kicks just delay the cr.lp until they almost land on the ground the timing is universal if you do. If they are standing double tap your inputs since the game will buffer all of it until you hit a special you can input cr.lp > mk > (mk)> 236P and either way your special lands. But I’m glad you found out another option that works for you. Thanks for the feedback/input. ^^
