Yeah. He had his own booth at the center of the mall. The reason why arcades seem to be closing is becasue everything is on console now. We use to use the console for practice but when Gametime closed everything had to go on console. It was better than going to a hitty mall arcade where they didn’t care about the players that went there. And I guess we got too comfortable having tournaments on console and it took business from the arcades. And plus every nowadays seem to be on that “get out the house and get active” thing or they listen to people when they say that the arcade is for immature people. :lol:

My brother, Marn, is now visiting in Beltsville, MD…I will be up there June 8-24. We’re gonna try and go to as many area tournaments as possible, but also play whenever there’s a local get-together.

So for you guys who went to ECC, how’d you do? How was it?
Marvel, I think only Pete(VA) and Eric V went and played. Pete was a match away from qualifying, and Eric was put in a ridiculously hard bracket. Pat might’ve made some noise in CvS2, but he wasn’t here. It took a lifetime and a half, finals was 4 out of 7 times 2:annoy:
md/va 3s went up together: me, jose, grant, phil, khang. We met up aaron there. Me, ho, khang, aaron qualified for top 16 on Saturday, and once again with PVFP(oop) MIA, we had no RFU adaptor to casual at the motel 6- -. Despite that we were all feeling good about the next day. I’d have to say we all underachieved there. Jose lost to a yun player(dash up ex upkicks=TOO GOOD:rofl: ) and me. I don’t wanna speak for aaron but he could’ve placed higher as well. I pretty much was ok till i met up khang, then in losers a ken player from cali came up to beat me(i think i tied for 7th), and eventually, khang as well. The Break is in the middle of Bumfuck, NJ. Every other store was a random Billy/Joe/Mikes pizza/sub/deli joint. The Break itself was great, tho, IMO. Spending $20 in quarters at a console tourney ftw:wasted:
Yeah, I almost qualified. Just one game away. I am pretty happy with what I did. And yes, once again, I got Justin Wong in the first round of a tourney(that makes it 5 times in a row).
EricV stood a chance, that is why he was in a hard bracket. They saw his skills during casuals then got scared that he might make some noise. Atleast he got eliminated by SmoothViper and Potter(top 8 there). NY and their grimeyness.

We are having our second Ticket to Evo Tourney on June 18th. You should try to make it to that.
Iwas actually at ECC this past weekend. I saw 10x but he was in the middle of playing someone so I didnt bother him. I couldnt stay for the whole thing though so I dont know how everyone did.

When you get good, you won’t have Justin first anymore. It’s a known fact in the history of tourneys that when you get good and you are recognized. You don’t get paired up with the hard players in the first round.

its a known fact the tournies are rigged… though any1 will never admit it to ur face… i bet at least 80-90% of the tournies you goto are setup one way or the other…

So far I am really feeling that C3 place in sterling and the X30 in rockville. C3 is bigger though. Other than that the owners of both are really dedicated to the cause.

Word. I throw the tourneys @ C3. We’re having AE on 6/10, as well as A3 casuals (i have the japanese alpha anthology). Also on 7/1 - 7/2, there will be an AE and A3 tourney. let me know if you’re down, koop.

Thinking about it. Leaving it up for casuals on the 10th, after peeps get the game, then we can talk about tourneys. Gotta figure out if anything is TOO broken.
BTW I don’t know if you guys saw, but Justin is planning to go to anime tourney in Blacksburg on the same weekend of our big tourney. Or at least thats what I saw in the thread.
