okay people… i’ll be getting the hotel room this year for ecc9 (unless someone else has already done it…?) I need to get a count of people who plan on going. Just respond here or PM me or something. If you are unsure, 50/50, most likely, or whatever… let me know. Depending on how many people will be splitting the room(s), it may be about $20-$40 per person for the entire weekend. Maybe less, maybe more… we’ll see.
I’m also getting the hotel room for evo… so ONLY if you are definitely going, and you haven’t told me… PM me.
now, if I do happen to drive to ecc9, the spots in my car are already taken. if i talked to you on the phone today about riding along with me, make sure you have a backup plan just in case. the tournament is over a month away, so i’ll give you some advanced notice on what i plan to do.

I mean I can run it and all but would say City Place allow one and would there be enough people to play? ken – you’ll find that there’s not much of a 3S following over here…generally, you won’t find anyone at the arcade worth playing, and most of the time no one is there 
when we do play, we usually tell each other first. but instead of going to the arcade and wasting our money, we play at someone’s house. usually johan hosts (gunjack fever), but we haven’t played there recently. him, shinshay, and i are probably the big 3S fanatics…everyone else plays, but doesnt really work to improve themselves.
as for myself, some weekends i’m off and others i’m not. it’s quite spontaneous. just talk to me and i’ll tell you what i know at the time…ANYWAY, there WILL be gaming this saturday at johan’s place, which isn’t too far away from city place (10-15 min by car). try and see if you can get in contact with him…his SN is “gunjack fever”.
Unfortunately, I’m a Urien player, and while I can play on DC, it does limit his options, of course this argument is null and void if you have a supergun setup:evil: But I’ll hit you up sometime to find out when to go.

Blazeup: people still play… I don’t have the time, but other people do. Battle of Bmore and Koop’s Gatherings seem to be the biggest events in the area.
N-Ken: i know you only have good intentions, but I don’t think a 3s tournament at city place would get much of a turnout… and that’s even if you can get cityplace to allow a tournament.
nken: sparatik is right on this one – like i said, there’s not many 3S enthusiasts in this state…errr…area…errr…part of the coast…er…EC as a whole. city place wouldn’t allow it, since their management is pretty sucky and don’t really care about the scene. if you want to play at the arcade, that’s fine. i’m just saying you probably won’t have anyone to play unless you set up a gathering beforehand. just hit me up and if i can play i will. however, i brought up a ‘ranking battle’ type suggestion a while back…i’ll talk to johan to see if we can implement it.
oh. and learn another character. console is a great and inexpensive way to learn new characters 
it’ll definitely spark more interest in 3S.
I have no idea how many people are going, so I also have no idea how many rooms to get. That’s why I’m asking people to post if they are coming. I can also get reduced rates for the hotels, but let me know what deals your mom can come up with.

Yeah I wasn’t trying to make trouble, it’s just on the WC all playing revolves around tourney’s in one way or another, either playing in or practicing for the next tourney, so it’s just a bit of an adjustment. As for learning other characters, I play most of the characters actually, I’m just trying to focus on two or so chars at a time, right now its primary Urien, Backup Ryu.

Trying to get back into the scene now. Been away doing other things. Alex P calls me trying to get me to go to ECC9, but I am not sure due to me taking off for EVO. I would love to go but it will be hard taking off two times from a new job, LOL. Anyway I have to bring my 3S up to par. I would love to play you NKen, but we will have to hold off frrom playing a money games. I have to wait until I get paid again.

So I was in cambridge yesterday and got bored and went to the HMV (big chain of music stores) and saw a jedi mind tricks cd. I said “hm that’s odd?|” and kept looking. Then I saw a stack of Madvillainys, King Ghedorah, Vic Vaugn AND Special Herbs Vol 4. Not to mention that Edan '83 Wildin joint. And I went to another store and saw Doom/Grimm self titled. Is this normal? wth is up with all the underground music in the major U.K. stores? All crazy. I didn’t buy any cuz the exchange is fucking garbage.
And spar count me in for evo housing as of right now. I’ll let you know if that changes, though its doubtful.
And Ill practice 3S before ECC if I have time. It’s like all I play right now. Sadly.
