Ragna, jin, and Noel are the most noob friendly. That’s why they are the most played. Shit, but Noel is giving me a hard time because of all the dashing involved in combos.

Why is Noel noob friendly? That drive mashing shit gets owned so hard in a game like this. Full combo into mix ups in this game are too serious for people who don’t play it right. I guess it’s a good thing I’m not getting flowchart’d though :D.
As for throws, hell yea they’re godlike. If they had any more range they would rule this game so hard lol.
There are kara throws! Goddamn, and Taokaka needs to get them a lot to do her most damaging combos. I’m scared of that bitch once people get good with her.
Also, yes, Noel is pretty easy to pick up for low level play because you can fish for counters all day with 6a or 6c and go into a variety of combos. Then you go into her air combo and you get free 2k damage every time.
The drive shit is funny since you can see 2d coming very easily, and im not very knowledgeable about when to do 5d besides after 6c combos.
Jin and Ragna to me are way easier…but most people flock to noel and jin because they can combo outta their ass with the D button.

block and punish the ice car. you can hit him out but it’s not usually worth it. it’s like -9 on block. in fact you WANT to block the car in the air so you can land the fat combo afterwards. most decent players use it as a method of transportation. not as method of attack (outside of combos)
you can play jin like an akuma. zone all day. poke with 5d, 2d, 6c. and then 214c on freeze. pretty basic stuff. punish with 623a or 6432146c, anti air with either 623b,c or d. once you get the other dude in the corner … it’s fairly hard to get out cause you can then start using 6d which is gdlk on hit or block (+12 or something) and his ex moves (air fireball, ground fireball) can trap in the corner as long as you have meter

at long range you can 4D the ice car and get a counter hit into combo, work on the timing though.
Tager, well you can space the hell out of him. Noel has Tager specifc combos too which do some real damage. After a standing C you can j.a, j.b, j.c, j.d,28D etc.

drive mashing does get owned. you can throw her out of it, hell you can poke her out of it unless you do the 5B which doesnt even combo. So its kind of risky if someone picks up on it because they can flash kick you too which is so fucking gdlk and stops EVERYTHING.
Dora Bang color is too good. When I get my VGA cable in, I’ll activate my XBL and start playing. I’m alright at the game so far, but I want to get into the scene some more. Are there tourneys worth going to at C3? As in the prices to enter, venue fee, etc. Ugh the smash tourneys I used to go to sucked ass with the price :(.

Oh Steve Omni? Well anyway, smash tourneys were $10-$15. I think it was $20 at one point, but still, that stuff adds up after awhile. I can manage with $5-$10 tourneys with a $10 venue fee though.

632146c is gdlk in punishing pretty much anything cause it’s i9 and pretty much full screen. the d super is an iffy anti air but does a ton of damage if it hits (and you get to combo after it)
