P groove fucking owns. Makoto P groove Kyo FTW.
I cant do P groove. Gotta stay defensive the whole time and parry EVERYTHING!
P groove is actually a pretty offensive groove. It’s pretty good at countering RC grooves (since a parried RC move gives you enough time to punish after RC invince is over). P groove Cammy owns. P groove Kyo is an offensive demon (every parried attack = 6 hit combo). Only problem is P groove gets fucked by A Sak. That and the groove doesn’t give you 2 chances to use a level 3 super like K groove.
Good games to Wojito. Chun is too clutch, the tables were turned when you picked anybody but her ass.
Next time we gotta play something different. That was the longest 3S session I’ve ever had. I lasted for an hour before I was insanely bored.
The games were close when I just sat there poking.
Yun is too fun, next time my Genjin(sp?) combos will last past 6.
Gotta play CvS2.
everybody start playing cvs2 right now. this thread will turn into md/va cvs2 thread
QFT
You all should play Mark G…that guy will run even if he is losing, WTF?
thats right baby mark g will play mind games with you even when HE is losing. MARK G WILL RAPE YOUR MIND. his mind games are too sick. straight up OG.
MIND GAMES FOR FREEEEEEE
Can you put Ibuki in CvS2?
well i’ll guess i’ll log the nova crew:
i got rockman’d today, i can admit. ho fought random with random, and came out on top:wonder: lots of “tips of urien’s c. hp” hitting my jumps. did alot of random grabbing bs against ross that worked somehow. mark surprisingly didn’t pick elena even once today, i think. that monster stick of ho’s is really really fucking big. i can’t remember v-ism rules fast enough to continue combos. my stick is dying. more to come tomorrow, pc~
I’m right about that option select tho. Did you notice?
I just typed this long post about matches I had in Chinatown at CT, but SRK deleted my post because it made me re-sign in. I really hate this stupid sign-in-every-five-seconds bullshit, but whatever. The point of the post was that after next weekend, I can get serious about 3s again. I’m taking all my days off to attend gatherings, go to springfield, or just learn the game on my own.
and I’ll be there pointing and giggling like a school girl.
My WSOP Bad Beat Story
O.K. so here it is. first off its event #17 $1,000 buy in No Limit Holdem. there were roughly 2800 players who entered this event. to 200 get paid. so anyways it late in the tourney and the average chip stack is about 8-9 thousand. ive got about 21,000 in front of me. there are about 300 players left. the blinds are 300-600 with a 75 ante. my previous table just had broken up and i got moved to another table. i sit down and the button had just passed me. well a few hands go by and i havnt played a hand yet. now im under the gun and i finally get a hand at this table. i get AKs. i make it 1,500 to go. fold, fold, fold, fold then a guy goes into the tank for about a minute and decides to re rasie me. he make it only 3,000 with QQ. ok fine. bascially a min raise. everyone else folds and it get back to me. i was thinking of pushing but just decided to call cause he has me covered by roughly 4,000 or so. so now heres the good part. flop comes AA4. i can barely keep my poker face straight. i think for a bit and make a weak beat on the flop of 2,000 trying to make him think i had something like JJ or TT. he then without hesitation goes all in trying to represent my hand. i cant beat him into the pot. i called just as quick as he said all in. the turn brings a 7. then it happens u know whats comming. the dealer flips a Q over on the river. and what makes it worse is that the guy sitting to my right of me told me he folded a weak Q. this made me sick to my stomach. its one of those beats in poker when u just wanna rip the cards up or throw your chips at the dudes head. but i kept my cool as i dont ever go on tilt. i said nice hand and headed out. i walked the halls and the rio for like twenty minutes trying to figure out what just happened. i could taste he money after he said all in. i was gonna make the money anyways if i had just kept folding. cause there were still like two to three short stacks at each table so it wasnt long before we reached the final 200 players. i could taste the money on the turn and almost tasted the bracelet. cause 40,000+ in chips would have put me up there with the chip leaders. i could have easily coasted into the money with 40g’s hell even 20g’s. but i got donked out on. o well. i was gonna play in event #18 2,000 buyin pot limit holdem but right now i cant think straignt. maybe if i can sleep it off ill try to register in the morning. if not ill just play cash games till thurs. uhh man that sucked. something like that really breaks ones spirit. first place was over a half a million. i aint too mad though its donks like that that got me to the series. theres always another time. too all those who read thanks for reading my pain and sorrow. ill be back fri morning eric kim. lemme know whats up then with the ride situation.
edit: i just read on card player.com that 270 got paid and that makes it so much worse. i got knocked out around 10:00 pm vegas time. just needed thirty more minutes and i woulda had some money. gotta love the donkeys.
Wow, that really sucks man. Sorry to hear it. Better not dwell on it – try to sleep it off and think it over in the morning. Like you said there’s always another time.
damn man that’s tough. i think if you keep playing the way you play it will pay off more than not. the worst thing you could do now is second guess yourself.
what time in the morning? alex has work off on friday, we can bounce whenever you get back.
how does trip Q’s beat trip A’s?
you suck, plain and simple.
Naw, sorry to hear it, even though I didnt read it since paragraphs seem to be poison to you.
Bad beats, what can you say about them? They suck?
ggpo
Dang, Pat, that sucks, sorry to hear it. I think someone’s said something a couple times about how poker is a great skill game only up to a certain point, after which it’s just pissing into a fan and seeing where the drops fly… hm, I can’t seem to remember who said that. Someone “awesome” or “mega” perhaps. Nah, but that sucks dude, better luck next time.
Simple: Q beats everything.
Thanks for the card, dude, and also what’s up to everyone else. Just got into London a few days ago after going around Italy with my family for a week and a half. Old Italy, like all the old buildings and art and ruins and stuff, is completely and totally awesome. Modern Italy, like the modern cities, the people, how things are organized, transportation, etc, totally blows. Venice is this beautiful old water-city that everyone wants to see, right? Well, it is, the part of it that existed before the last 100 years or so is amazing, but it’s gone to such crap and the city is sinking so badly now that this one dude I met could not wait to get out of there and get over to the States. Lesson: go to Italy if you have a time machine and a guarantee that you’ll be upperclass 300-700 years ago, but go to America if you don’t have a time machine and want to actually live. But it was great being there during the World Cup, everyone was going nuts, from the tiniest of babies to the oldest of women. As for London, I haven’t seen much yet, but it seems great. Weather’s kinda rainy and sucky, though.
There’s actually a pretty good SF scene out here. The airline I took lost my luggage, so I had to go shopping and decided to go to to a major shopping center, where lo and behold there’s a gigantic Las Vegas-style mega-arcade. They have Japanese machines for ST, A3, NGBC, T5, and some KoF, and two for 3S. The 3S competition is better than I expected, but the best player I played against was this crazy sick Oro player from Japan named Kenji who’s out here studying abroad too. He’s probably the best Oro player I’ve ever played against, better than any of the American Oro players I’ve played, including HungBee, although excluding a certain M to the O to the D. Other than that, there were a couple decent dudes, one pretty good Ken player and a pretty good Alex player. Word has it that Kokujin might magically come out to London for a while for some reason, so that would be pretty kickass.
Isn’t the next VTYME coming up soon? If so, good luck guys, let’s see MD/VA run the money spots.
Full house, Queens over Aces.
If you start with a better hand, you’re almost never drawing dead after the flop.
Btw, who’s going to Evo East. Iraq Pat and I are rolling up friday in a van w/ Tv’s in it. ANyone wanna roll w/ us/?
