I have not downplayed every atrocity in the world. There will always be people doing evils everywhere but the good thing is that there are laws written against their behavior, the community acknowledges that the action is wrong, and they are considered criminals. In other countries, people who tie dogs and hammer them to death would be automatically branded as criminals, but in China they are not considered criminals because there are no laws against that. Why are there no laws against that? Logically because there are people who sadly have a different point of view towards that being a crime.
