That’s why I mentioned hair dryer. I’ve never seen one that gets hot enough to warp plastic. They do get hot enough to soften glue though. It’s also a good idea to get the remaining residue off the plexi since there will still be some left over that soap and water may or may not wash off. In that case, hair dryer plus something to peel the residue off. I dunno, I just like clean panels I suppose
Would you think it’s easy to mod to a stickless arcade stick? It could give an easy entrance to hitbox-like controllers with the PS3/PC/360 compatibility and a decent plastic box.
With the mix “common ground” for directions (and no common ground for the other buttons), it’s maybe harder to mod, and the PCB isn’t maybe doing any SOCD.
Someone would have to make a replacement metal panel for it in order for this to work which of course is going to bring up the cost. Amp Up Customs does replacement metal panels, but I doubt he’s got any panels for this stick since it’s so new.
So this is apparently a re-brained European version of the Mayflash v2 stick thanks to @noLegenD2199 for showing me the link
and asking me about it.
I don’t know German so I am not sure if I can make everything out.
I got this out of Google Translate
I posted about the stick in the “What stick to buy thread” hoping to get some crowd sourcing efforts to identify the stick. @PresidentCamacho was good enough to provide an answer in the What stick to buy thread.
This carries a 17EUR jump over the PS3/360 version that I see in the “related” field right under it. Assuming that applies to a USA release, where it would come out in the $75-80 range, that’s a DAMN good deal for a dual-gen stick. Especially appealing if some x360/xbone padhack options become widely available.
Does anyone have the dimesions on the Mayflash (preferably in cm?). The amazon page says 59×42.5×30 (cm). But that cant be right… that thing would be HUUUUUGE (23.2 x 16.7 x 11.8 (inch))
Its the same body, dont know if the buttons and stick are the same. On their fb page they didnt reply to me when I asked them about the MayFlash stick and how theirs was like it. :S
today arrive my new mayflash v2 looks strong and quality product :o , I tested on figthcade with kof and ultraf4 for pc, and this arcade stick work like a charm and doing a nice job with the stock parts , if you want change parts for sanwa stuff but it’s only for an optional purpose , i’m really impressed this only cost 60bucks, it was a good investment for a low budget.
Anyways, I picked up one of these for a buddy who’s just getting into using stick, and this seems like a pretty neat-o stick. We immediately swapped out the joystick for a Sanwa JLF. The buttons went as well, swapped those out for some spare obsc-whites I had laying around. Whatever 24mm button they are using for the start is pretty horrendous. I didn’t swap it out because I just didn’t have a spare 24mm to throw it, now I’ve grown accustomed to hearing it’s unique click when pressed. Also, if you don’t want to shell out for a spare harness, if you happen to have any old madcatz stick laying around, you can take the jlf harness from one of those to use in this stick. Fits like a glove.
Unless sticks with Macro functions become as common as the turbo/rapid fire function I highly doubt it.
[Edit]
I did not notice there was a Macro Function for the MayFlash V2 until now, I guess this stick isn’t a good budget stick for Tournaments.
Home use, you should be fine.
