Hey guys, is there anyway i can get an 8-way gate for the joystick without replacing the whole thing? If so which one should I be on the look out for?
MAYFLASH XBOX 360 / PS3 / PC Arcade Fighting Stick V2 Compatible with Sanwa Parts out of the box 69$
It is an 8 way gate (doesn’t block diagonals). I’m assuming you mean an octagonal gate- I don’t know of any that would work on the stock lever. As a fan of octagonal gates, I can tell you that the Seimitsu LS-56 with an octagon is hands down the best choice in that field based on my experience. Seimitsu sells .187" connector versions which would bypass all this JST harness stuff, you would just need to cut the wires free from the lever (note which wire came from which switch), strip them back, crimp on .187 quick disconnects (female), and reconnect them to the new lever.
yes that is what I meant. Thanks for the suggestion. I was trying to avoid the JST harness due to the multi weeks wait for one and im ready to pull the trigger at focus attack for buttons and stick.
Thinking of pickup up a Seimitsu LS-56 and 8 Sanwa OBSF buttons. Does this sound like a decent grab for this stick?
Yeah, that will be a huge upgrade over the stock parts.
Has anyone tried using these on the PS4, specifically with Skullgirls?
Yes, sadly they don’t work on PS4 through the Skullgirls driver (Skullgirls, USF4, MKX). PS4 recognizes it as a “wireless controller.”
Hi,
I want to put a Seimitsu LS-32-01 into the Mayflash v2 stick. I need to buy the LS-32-01 it with the SE plate, right?
Can I connect it with such a cable, like I can with a Sanwa JLF?

Do Seimitsu PS-14-GN buttons fit into this stick?
Thanks for helping a noob out
Yes, the SE plate, the Flat plate should be fine.
You would use the S-plate only to get some extra height out of Seimitsu Joysticks in certain types of Sanwa JLF mounts (like the Mad Catz TE).
I understood it as those cables would work.
Seimitsu PS-14-GN buttons will fit, as long at the main 8 buttons are 30mm buttons you would be fine.
The PS button is a 24mm button.
Seimitsu buttons are a no-go on the stock panel. The button holes on the metal panel are cut oddly such that they only fit Sanwa buttons and their derivatives without modification.
I milled mine out to the standard 30mm spec so it fits both now. You could file or mill out the excess material to get them to fit.
Side note: For installing new artwork, I found that wet sanding works well to get the silk-screened art off.
So nothing a round file wouldn’t fix.
Thanks.
How much would you have to file off? Shouldn’t be much, right?
Will try it out
Not much at all. Just go a little bit at a time till the button fits .
Nice find concerning removing the art, @deserada! Did the process include any solvents as well (besides water)? Also, what grit (I have 600-1000 grit wet sanding paper so may try when I buy one) and did it preserve the acrylic without scuffing it up??
@RedTag14 Thanks! I used 600 to get the paint off, then 1200 and 1500 to polish and finished with towel and buffing compound. It looks perfect.
Perfect! This is exactly what I wanted to hear. Thanks again for the clarification!
Got my Seimitsu LS32-01 with SE plate today. It doesn’t really fit.
Do I have to drill some holes in the plate to make it fit?
Here’s a picture of it:

Hey! I also recently bought this Stick.
I’ve been trying to solder it to my xbox360 controller pcb but I’ve ran into a dead end.
This pcb of the mayflash stick (http://i.imgur.com/eNlhA7Z.jpg) has a looped ground on top, My xbox360 diagram looks like this though (http://www.slagcoin.com/joystick/pcb_diagrams/360_diagram5.jpg). So pushing those select/home buttons on the stick would push all the connected buttons on that pcb.
Does anyone know how to do it without doing any cuts to the mayflash pcb that I still can use it both ways?
Thanks a lot
You going to have to widen those holes on the mount plate.
What tool do you suggest for that procedure?
A Drill, Dremle, round file, what ever cuts metal and you feel comfortable with
