Chris; what’s the cutoff for Early Bird registration?
Hey Chris, are you still looking for extra help? I sent a PM but haven’t heard fom you. No worries though, I’ll still be in attendance.
SFxTekken 1v1 or 2v2?
SFxT will be 2v2
Any idea when scheduling will be posted? Mainly curious if any games will be Friday.
No games will be on Friday. This is a Saturday and Sunday event only.
Ghaleon, Harmon, & Fugee: I went ahead & posted a thread up for Season’s Beatings: Summer Slam on 8wayrun for SC5 since no one has done that yet. This will get the word out to all the Soul Calibur players for this tournament.
so many ohio tourneys its madness
Don’t forget to pre-reg! Early Bird ends 4/23 and will be going up to $40!
Sluch, thanks much man for that!! We really aren’t in tune with the SC scene anymore so GS looking out. Same to our MK friends!
Had lots of good news today on the SB front.
No problem doing so Ghaleon. Glad to post this up over there & let the Soul Calibur community know what’s going on.
At the same time, it kind of sucks this wasn’t done sooner over there. I know things can get hectic trying to get details together & getting everything organized, so I can understand that things can slip through the cracks sometimes. Still, this probably should have been done sooner though in all honesty.
I’ve been talking to people who play Soul Calibur that I know & people have been posting up on 8wayrun as well not being that happy about it. In all honesty, I can’t blame them & I’m kind of bummed out as well about it since it felt like SCV kind of got the short end of the stick here in terms of knowing what’s going on for this tournament. It gives people barely anytime to prepare to go to this tournament & prepare to play in it, so I can see where people are coming from about this.
Personally I’m not mad at you Ghaleon or the rest of the Season’s Beatings: Summer Slam staff bout this or anything b/c it really can be difficult to get everything together for tournaments, especially a major tournament, but at the same time, I feel bugged about the situation as well b/c it seemed like no one really cared about SCV at all for this major, & this is an EVO sponsored tournament with EVO Points & Seeds being given out here.
I just want to make sure that everything is going to be alright for SCV in this tournament. I want Season’s Beatings: Summer Slam to be a success & I don’t want people to be deterred from going to this tournament because they felt like their community & their game didn’t get the attention that it deserved.
I am looking to go to this even for SCV. I was wondering when a schedule would be posted, so that i could see if SCV was a 1 day event or if finals were held on Sunday.
Honestly we aren’t 3D players so I really don’t keep up with the SCV scene. If the SC scene doesn’t know much about the Road to EVO then yeah we def messed up waiting to get the word out, so they are free to be bummed about hearing about us late. If that stops people from coming that sucks but it’s cool There are quite a few tournaments this spring though so I def think everyone should be in shape though.
It’s a Road to EVO game though and everyone should have an idea based on our last couple tournaments how we do business so it’ll be scheduled and well run, with pools, and set start and end times, as soon as we finalize the schedule.
Will the venue be open on Friday for casuals, or just Saturday and Sunday?
I will be running Skullgirls Side tournament! Sign ups are gonna be Sunday afternoon! $10 Entry Fee and is gonna payout 70/20/10
Venue will be open on Sat / Sun only
We are planning on running SCV on Saturday and saving finals for Sunday.
Any idea when the Street Fighter II tournament will be. I’d like to pre-register but I need to make sure I can make it there.
We are actually hosting two ST qualifiers, both will be on Saturday. Tentative start times are 2PM and 7PM
So I will only need to show up to one of two qualifiers then?
