[May 19] Battle in the Valley - Corvallis, OR. (Casuals - 18th and 20th)

Our fighting game community here in the Corvallis and Albany area is running some fighting game tournaments at Civil War LAN 4, which is hosted by the Gaming Club at Oregon State University.

Event: Battle in the Valley, hosted at Civil War LAN 4.
When: Tournaments on May 19 starting 1 PM to 9 PM. Event starts May 18th at 7 PM to May 20th at 3 PM.
Where: The Benton County Fairgrounds in Corvallis, Oregon.
Cost: $5 for venue Fee. $5 entry per tournament.

There will be fighting games available for the whole event, with casuals and money matches running all weekend. The official tournaments will be taking place on Saturday afternoon.

1 PM - Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition: 2012
3 PM - Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
5 PM - Skullgirls
7 PM - King of Fighters XIII

Entry to the LAN will be just $5, which will allow access to the LAN Party and provides drinks. All tournaments will be $5 buy in, with the pot split being 70/20/10 to top 3 for all tournaments 10 entrants or larger. Smaller tournaments will use adjusted splits to ensure the smallest prize is larger than $5. Tournaments will be taking place on Xbox 360. This is also a Bring Your Own Controller event.

The event is hosted within a LAN Party. Setups will be provided by our members, but participants are encouraged to bring their own consoles, monitors, and games to help provide more setups.

Friday and Sunday will be dedicated to just playing matches, meeting the Corvallis scene, doing runbacks, money matches, and possibly some free tournaments (for glory of course).
