To Lud man I am saying it right now for all to see. Hands down you are the best SSF4 in md/va until proven otherwise. And I am basing that off of facts of this tourney and the last 2 ranbats. Steve is the best player in MD and thats not changing and I am not saying you could take him in a first to 10. But I am saying that you are the standard right now. Your Chun impressed me and you have been performing well this past weeks. Overall I am glad that I tuned in to watch yall play and it makes me miss playing with yall. Oh and good shit to JB aka Deviljin01 clutch ultra at the end to go through the rocks throw by Rugals Cody sir. I hope yall stay hungry and bring the glory days back to md/va.
Lud is definitely #1 right now. There’s no arguing that. I’m also known to deal in facts, and this is indisputable at this point, like Ving Rhames.
I hope people take the bar he’s setting, and push themselves to get over it. I know I am. Lud beat me on Wednesday, and he beat me again yesterday… convincingly. I hope to run into him again this coming Wednesday, and hopefully I’ll have more shit figured out by then.

GG’s to everyone I played: Robo Jimbo and Vivaldi for knocking me out the tourney and making fully realize just how sloppy my execution is (Kikosho, why hast thou forsaken me? ), Joe Kim and Sean’s Apprentice for some fun matches where I learned quite a bit, and to iNerd and Skisonic for the tips in SSF4 and TvC respectively. I experienced a lot yesterday and I’m more determined than ever to step my game up.
In things I wasn’t invovled in, Props to Mag and Lud for setting the Chun bar, to Moroha and Jammo for the mind fuck that was the Vega mirror , and to Raven for the cookout. It was good times all around yesterday.
Sup guys, got home not too long ago. Man, what can I say…had fun playing against everyone.
Lud - Too solid, I think it’s pretty free that you have the best Chun in the country :tup:
Skisonic - You have put in so much work in El Fuerte and have come a long way. Impressive win over Steve H, and I myself was shocked my Rog counter pick wasn’t ineffective. I look at you as a serious problem in the bracket.
DevilJin - You too have stuck to Viper and have shown results. I stepped out during your match vs Lud, but I saw it on the stream replay…it really could have went either way if you landed a few more things. Let me know about that ECT teams! :karate:
rugi - Maybe whenever you get more free time with the game everything will come together. We’ll practice up at a session and discuss some things about the game.
Overall, the scene is looking very solid. I’m happy about the progress our underdogs are making towards beating top players in the area. I know it’s just the beginning though, let’s do work at EVO and majors.
One more thing, I wouldn’t mind seeing the underdogs step their shit up enough to the point where when an upset happens, it was legitimate. That way, everyone has someone to fight for the next time they go in. Keep up the work MD/VA.
I think I also leveled up a bit. I learned a tip from skisonic not to mash my stick. Kinda gives you away. It was good meeting you guys at Xanadu: HAV, MagnetoManiac, DevilJin, ReiGun, Skisonic and FPS_Absynthe. DevilJin’s win when using Ibuki again Cody was fucking epic! Skisonic El Fuerte was on point. I don’t see too many Fuerte players and it was pretty refreshing to go against one; a rather badass one.
Good shit to the drawing winners, especially Ski for rocking the snuggie during matches.
Had at lot of fun even though I didn’t enter anything and had to leave early. Was a really well ran tourney and saw a lot of great matches. Thanks to Rugal for helping me get all that stuff together.
