So I’m skimming through replays of Norcal Install and I saw Pain land an air dive from a super grab. How the heck does that work? It looks like he just super jumped and input the grab but I can’t even get close to making that work in training mode.

Ive had some successful attempts at it but it seems to be based on position or my timing is probably bad. What ive done is used the “Tiger Knee” motion to input the grab so that Kanji initiates the grab as low to the grab as possible. With the above technique though Ive used the SB version of the grab if Pain did the non SB version Im assuming it pretty strict timing.

I’ve gotten the TK SB air grab to land once, ever. Pain did it without using the SB version.
Do you whiff the grab because they tech right before it lands or are you not able to get the grab out at all?
