That’s a case of someone with poor money management. Someone who suddenly gets a lot of money is going to go crazy with it. It even happens to people who earned their wealth through other means.
The very act of buying a lottery ticket implies poor money management skills. A lottery ticket is essentially money down the drain, and the few people who win are the exceptions that prove the rule.
The lottery’s sole purpose is for the government to earn money and to use it for schools. The lottery is more less a government funding and it is statistically design to earn more money (through ticket sales) than to lose even if someone wins. That’s why it has been around since forever, my statistics professor told us about “net profit” or some crap like that and how the lottery was design along with how it functions.
you imply not only that perelman was physically inept but socially impaired aswell? based on what ? it was stated that he worked for several yrs with other mathematicians. also ppl went to visit him and they went on several hr long walks where " [perelman] commented on every building as we passed…" and if you can not see that acceptingthe award/money had several implications that he was not willing to accept outweighed any ease he would get from a million bucks. then you’re just being short sighted. also it was stated in the article that during his time in the US he earned enough to live out the rest of his life in ST petersburgh where he felt he worked better. but then again you did unknowingly defend urself with the use of “probably” regardless ur basically trolling a proven genius. read the article troll
That’s incredible. As I read this, I couldn’t help but reminded of Diogenes when Alexander the Great offered to grant him any single request. Diogenes responded with, “Would you mind stepping aside? You’re standing in my sunlight.”
