Matchup Specific Viable Supers

What about FP SA3 so you fly across the screen to escape though instead of trying to catch Oro with it? If Oro does this to you in the corner is there a danger that he could cross you up so you just Stungunned yourself in to the same corner and hit his super? I’m not an Oro player but I’ll try to test it if you give me the exact scenario you want me to try.

Yeah, I edited my previous post while you were typing this out, my bad. haha
I forgot about HP Stungun as an escape option, and if he does recover quick enough landing, then it could be like Elena’s Healing in that there’s all but nothing Oro can do to catch him.

That’s a pretty expensive escape tool though, considering Oro could just outrun and outzone Alex.

I just had Oro backthrow Alex in to the corner, MP SA2, HK Chicken and Alex’s HP Stungun took him to halfscreen fast enough that it looked to me like Oro couldn’t do anything about it. Like you say, probably not worth the meter sacrifice in the grand scheme of things but 3S being 3S I’m sure this would be at least one person’s cup of tea somewhere out there in the world, haha.

Hugo has nothing, lol. :frowning:

I tested it on PS2, like 4-5 years ago. I remember I was sure of getting the reversal message. Maybe it was a different version of slash, or it was the cancel speed (the move is sorta last cancellable)
anyways it requires meter, so still can be dangerous

Personally I feel that Alex is at advantage against Oro. Moreso with EX but the big problem is getting out of the SA2 unblockable, which is a little harder I think because of Alex’s larger hitbox.

I would think you could do HP Stun Gun to escape the setup. Alex builds meter fairly quickly so it’s not a huge game-changing loss to use meter to escape it I think.

louis pls go

Ouch.

Last time, hopefully, with the swagger jack JP since I didn’t notice it until now in the video.

Someone

Spoiler

(another JP man even? maybe, doesn’t play anymore Haitani confused dude)

asked why Rocket Upper SA1 Dudley on Makoto. Kokujin confirms yes SA1 on Makoto. Probably for the extra damage when you finally get an opening, also he tried crMP Super on a Mak dash. Didn’t get it, he was mad about that. Cost him the round.

Dart shot cork only works if you’re right on top of Makoto. With rocket, you can be a little farther away.

Minor point of course, but could it be that Corckscrew losing to karakusa (if already active) also plays a role in this?
