Yeah you shouldn’t be using u2 at all vs Gief. Empty jump, back throw, ultra like Takin said ( although I don’t get that close), safe dive kick os Shin Sho beats everything he can do.Plus on jump ins you can just raw ultra. Dont do it if he has ultra two because he can counter ultra you. Denjin just does too little damage to be effective vs Gief.

It always been like that, gouken either wiff (because green hand invincibility) or gets beat up
or he can have some BALLS and throw ex gh on startup…or if timed / sapced properly …get this a dbl backdash will avoid both hits…iirc thats like 90% sure as of today , but havent tested in ages …im also led to believe that a backdash into kongo cancel ultra can beat it also…
