Color me stupid, but what did you do in the video? Search to find a guy hosting on the 360 then search to find people hosting on PS3 and compare the pings? I couldn’t make out the name on the first one, is this the same guy from the same location hosting on both?
Your vid was pointless and thus failed. Nice try though
Its isnt about pings, its about the ease of finding matches, and the list population issues. Mainly everyone says its good on 360 and bad on PS3. Some say both are bad. It all seems to be word of mouth.
This is just actual proof, showing that the 360 version does connect much better.
I only looked at rooms for the sake of MB’s. The vid was already 127MB. Otherwise I’d have connected and played a match on both. I might have time to do that tomorrow, if its needed.
Someone with only a PS3 would say that wouldnt they? You fail.
God forbid the system you hate be better at anything. Keep having fun with your 1/1 list with 3/4 people that wont connect.
I get a list of rooms. Of course, I don’t play randoms, anyway.
Oh so it was about matchmaking. Okay I get it now, I thought it was about which was a better experience once you got a match. Confusion solved.
Never had a problem. Close this thread as it’s just here to make flames.
Tired of this shit out of fanboys.
It was hard to tell when you starting booting up the one then when you started up the other. The editing was really bad.
Your YouTube clip title is misleading. This video is not about connection(lag, connection drops etc…)but how many people show up(Hosting)on the lobby. That’s what I gather from this clip. You also need to factor in that Europe doesn’t have this title yet(PS3)I usually see one person hosting on rank matches(That will change once the Trophy patch happens) but on player matches is a different story. Your Youtube Clip title is misleading just like the name of this thread.
Both version’s are plague with obvious bugs(Life bar problems, connection drops, no sound etc…)So leave it at that. I own both version’s, they’re both the same, connection and visuals.
I have the 360 version, and often only see >3 matches available. While when I refresh a full list comes up. Doesnt it have something to do with your router settings? I know xbox live is a pain in the ass, and for other games if you didnt have correct ports open it only showed a few games rather than the full list. Just people you could connect to. I know this sounds stupid and not possible (if it connects to some people it must connect to everyone right?) but it’s true and has happened in a few games. (I run a ladder for FIFA and it happens in that game. I think it comes down to the fact if one person has the correct ports open the games plays ok, if both dont then they dont show)
Fanboys? Only people saying gay shit only have PS3 ID’s on their profile.
You could invite to a game right now, and the shit wouldnt work. I dont wanna hear it.
And there was no editing. I just turned on the 360 while I waited on the PS3 version, and flip to its input after I turned the PS3 off.
So where’s the strategy? I clicked on the strategy zone forum and found this, or maybe this thread shouldn’t have been opened?
This happened to me, and it’s not just a router or port forwarding problem. I use Internet Connection Sharing and had to configure my modem to work with Xbox Live. I had to enable a setting that allowed my LAN device to share the IP address assigned to my modem. The options were ‘use private IP address’ or ‘use public IP address’. The second option fixed the matchmaking problem.
It looks to me like the guy in this video needs to forward some ports to make the PS3 version work properly.
the problem is tho that the ports shouldnt need to be forwarded for a console, especially when they are utilizing upnp. And that’s a problem with the game
Wouldnt that be a problem with your router/console?
I posted this in the general thread but nobody seemed to have a similar experience. I have both and the friendly/casual quick match is different on both systems. The ps3 version pulls up people within seconds and only 1on1. The 360 version takes upwards of 10 minutes(if at all) and only pulls up lobbies. The ps3 version disconnects and errors out way more than the 360.
Also, I can do a custom search with default settings on 360 and it will rarely find any games. If it does, it will be 1 or 2 max.
This is the truth. I have both versions.
On the PS3, my friends and I can barely get a 4 player private room to work, let alone mics.
Maybe because someone moved it here faggot.
The one and only problem I’ve ever had with matchmaking on the PS3 is that a lot of the rooms returned are full, so I can’t join them, but I always always get a full list of games, even at 4am.
Don’t have any issues inviting friends to play either… just get the occasional disconnect in a room I’m in.
And no, UPNP not opening up ports isn’t the game’s fault. Lots and lots of players have routers with completely broken UPNP implementations or just no support for UPNP whatsoever. Can’t blame HDR for that.
