I normally punish blocked headbutt with standing forward or roundhouse, but that player punished EX headbutt with sweep
It also looks like that thing about Vega’s EX Sky High not going through is BS

recorded some matches against my brother’s ryu today. had many examples of my argument in the sharpening the claws thread about baiting SRK’s. I baited many with the izuna vortex. To hell with Ryu. I also… get this - succesfull did and EX RCF through a fireball to punish. Wow.
the matches will prob be up tomorrow. Going to get loaded today.

For some reason when I spliced the matches into individual videos from the source vid they just became blank vids on themselves. of course, my luck is that today i decided while i was doing this i’d clear out the old vids and make sure i didn’t have vids i wouldn’t use hanging around. of course i deleted the source vid during this process because why not, i had already brought the individual vids into their own files. so now they are just gone. What the fuck, I’m so agitated, how the fuck would they just be blank like that? computers make me shit sometimes, they really do

During the Fight Night Video, Vega’s rolls didn’t have the stall before the roll that you see in SFIV.
I also noticed what you were talking about Jay. He did hit the wall pretty high.

but when Honda does that ochio throw, vega loses the mask after the slam down, and the buttslam part of it does incremental damage compared to what i think it would do now
only problem is… i looked at frame data and it listed ochio throw as 180 damage period, unlike all other moves which are divided by each hit to display damage, like RCF, which is like 15, 15, 15, 15, 100 or w/e
So… it’s not conclusive proof.

That one I didn’t notice. If it is longer, they probably just changed the hitbox of it. I’ve had tips that didn’t do any damage before on the c.MP so many times.

it features my brother and teammate Bank playing against my Sagat with his Claw… granted he picked up Claw just to counter Sagat (method to madness they say) and he has extensive playing experience against my Sagat specifically… he still plays very well in this video… pulls off some pretty neat tricks like whiffing lk ST to gain some ground for a throw and sshutting me out after landing a powerful FADC>Ultra… check it out let us know wat you think

After watching that video of vega vs honda, I don’t even feel like buying this game anymore. Vega’s walk speed, dash speed, jump speed, are all the same. He has slightly less lag on FBA and its angle is higher. RCF and Cr HK seem to be just slightly faster, if not faster at all. Claw/ mask more durable and possible lower penalty on mask loss. Faster focus attack but so is everyone elses. No feints on FBA and empty FBA has the same amount of lag. It also appears that the Izuna hitbox is not any larger and people will still focus your izuna without vega having any way of countering them. Second Ultra looks to be weak and not even usable as an anti air. His links are not any easier and his other normals are probably not any different. But we have a useless overhead now!
I have never been so disappointed before with the developers of any game. Someone please prove to me that this is not the case.

Maybe you can try one of the other 20+ characters instead of dropping the game? Seriously, SF isn’t centered around Vega. If he doesn’t receive enough buffs/fixes in Super then just learn somebody else, like Bison/Chun.

Its videos like those that make me want to continue playing the game and shit like what capcom did to him that make me want to quit. @ the View- Honestly I picked up the game only because Vega was in it. I do like Akuma/Ibuki/makoto/ and maybe Guy, but I still want to main Vega. His character is by far the best in the game IMO, and I always like to play my favorite characters.
BTW why does every Ryu insist on using shoryuken on wakeup against Vega? Everytime its a CH to ST… but they still never learn…
