No need to tell me what I could have / should have done here… both of these matches were major chokefests on my part as far as I’m concerned. I actually had somewhat sleepless nights thinking about how close I was and how I really pissed things away. Notice how the Blanka matchup goes downhill as soon as I try to punish his ultra with mine and fail doing it. The ryu matchup was totally in my grasp too but I lost to some basic stuff, didn’t hit a single izuna on his wakeup. Oh well, enjoy, hopefully you guys can see some useful stuff in the vs. Blanka vid.
I have HUGE problems against Ryu. I can’t anti air him reliably so i usually turtle and his jumping mk and hk is a big threat for me because it allows him to start offense, always.
Most of “vs ryu” games…
or I own him badly and win with a near perfect,
or if at any poin of the match he jumps to me and i’m blocking… he will pressure and score a down sooner or later, and pressure on wakeup and i lose the entire match there. I just don’t know how to get away again.

you have got great vega, but u don’t mix up enough especially on knock downs :tup:
Were you playing against Pongoko or something? 
That Ryu was hella agressive. He was,probably,pretty aware of that match up,cos you must rush the shit out of Vega.
Against Blanka(especially like that ball-happy Blanka) if i have a life lead i would sit on my ass in the opposite side of a screen charging and punish blocked balls with EX FB. That’s how gay i am.
I’m assuming it might work on Seth as well. The question is, how high does someone have to be for it to connect? Possibly maybe connect off of some characters jump ins depending on where you are relative to the screen?

-at 2:33 on part 2 of bee video you most likely could have won if you back dashed his first attack. That was if you predicted that move but w/e. Depending on the move you can backdash on the corner and score a grab before opponent recovers. I have successfully done this against several moves from several different characters.
-That blanka match was so dumb. Honestly you were much better than that blanka player. He got lucky. I am not even going to comment on it. (I bet you already know this but w/e) If you are very close to blanka and upon his wakeup he does his ultra you could jump back and airgrab his ultra. I dont know the exact timing on it but I have done it before in a match, which basically allowed me to put pressure on him freely for the entire time w/o worry of his ultra.
Ryu would be such an easier match if vega’s dash speed was faster. If they were, it would seriously be significantly easier. Overall I think you did good in your matches. You know what parts you messed up on, so I don’t really need to go into it.
