Im kinda pissed i didnt order the dvd but i couldnt see myself paying that much for a dvd especially since i only want to see Makoto’s matches
I watched the SBO vids in question too. And yeah, it’s pretty much as bebop says, Makoto plays amazing. Been using tap focus against Sagats alot more now, it works wonders!
nvmm
Can…someone just give me something to Google? We can do it some sort of code if you’d like
L.o.l.
pshaw, i’ll learn all them useful tips on my own.
goes on to lose some more
I see myself doing a really well written analysation of those two matches in the future.
I used to use focus tap alot back then against sagat and it worked really well. But now i dont anymore. People around here caught on and do alot of random tiger knees to break it
I wonder if Makoto uses it the same way… i must see those vids! How many Makoto matches are in that dvd? Just 2 right?
I MAY or may not have uploaded a certain video on my youtube channel…(sorry for the quality)
edit: heh I tried searching for my own account on youtube and it doesnt even seem to see it…well type /user/Draghun57 at the end of .com
thanks man its up there , dudes foot work off back and forward dash into dfhk, ability to be super patient and tech everything is crazy
Ya I noticed that too. His footwork is just amazing.:amazed: Makoto really plays vega to his potential in this game. Such an inspiration to all vega players to not give up on him. I know I wont.
Asteriscus(sp?) from XBL? If so, fun mirror last night.
Good lord man…
i love you… no homo
Edit : do you have his other matches?
From what I watched, it didn’t seem to have his other matches. Can anyone else confirm that his other matches are not on the dvd?
Thanks for posting this!
It answered my post akuma far RH kara throw question (that’s a mouthful) question well, and although I think the jab would still win, it probably is worth the gambit now and then. I also really liked the way he handled both fireballs and teleports (I had found little success with double df RH, but if I am quick enough it seems I can hit df RH into sweep).
Sagat matchup made me remember that after tiger knee if he isn’t using crouch lp he probably isn’t using a 3f move, so throw and stand hk become plausible. This is really helpful, and watching him handle the rushdown similar to how I do gave me a bit more confidence in what I am doing. (although I wonder why he went for stand hk instead of crouch lp? To push him out? Grab the jump? Easier damage? Because when cornered the +1 isn’t worth the risk of eating TU?)
Finally his spacing on his df RH offense was awesome. He didn’t use too many pokes to avoid the DPs I imagine, that is something I should take into account more often. And his use of crouch mk was very ballsy. What a great vega.
I am SO glad I can tap focus now.
Rugalitarian knows!

Laughing at “Theory Fighter IV” in the backround.
Uh, not much to say on these except that Seth fucked up bigtime a lot (especially on wakeup) and that you’ve done some pretty stupid things that should have got you killed against that Zangief.
Nevertheless, nice usage of EX Walldive. I’d recommend you to take a look at that new metering technique that was introduced shortly, since you seem to be playing a lot with meter.
Oh, and always remember to hold a charge when you jump back to bait attacks. That way, you can cancel your j.hp, cr.mk into EX FBA and won’t be in Zangiefs face anymore as opposed to only using your pokes.
