I run into Blanka’s like that… a lot. They just spam long-range blanka balls. Does this win fights? Or is it just something they do when in a matchup they don’t know?
oooo, ha
a lot of players throw out Honda’s headbutts and Blanka balls on vega cuz they are pretty difficult for vega to punish without ex meter or really good timing.
I think its really quite the opposite. They made vega sooooo good in the beginning, that they realized they had to make everyone else better and make sure everyone else had some sort of counter to vegas moves. I guess they just didn’t think they should playtest him again after they upgraded everyone else.

Me doing what I do best: Losing to JR.

Me trying new stuff.
Some if it works, a lot of it doesn’t.
Also, no more links while playing online for me.
TIPS PLEASE?
So far, I feel I can improve by:
- Poking less predictably while I zone.
- Try not to get cute on his wakeup so much.
- Dash/sweep under demon flips? Does this work? Anyone try/do this?

Rizzie Dizzy.
You’re too defensive all the time because your offense lacks mixup. After df.hk you can also jump straight up (and I swear this would have gotten you a free combo cause that rodriguez knows you’re going to try to throw him every time, hence the techs).
Plus, when you’re defending you hit too much inbetween. Have you noticed how many counter hits you ate? better do those nice jumping back roundhouses, so don’t be too nervous, be patient.
Plus, you lack any real pressure, be it wakeup or not. you need to pressure that fucker more, the match looks like you’re really just letting him play with you. All you do is jumping back fierce on wakeup, you could as well do the ground crossup, jump straight up then combo, throw or flip. Those are all options that come in handy once you’ve trained your opponent to do ONE thing
I’m sure I sound like knucklez, who plays it pretty risky, but don’t think your opponent must never be afraid of vega, that’s not true. I’ve perfected some good ryus because i just didn’t let them play their game while badly losing trying to adapt to theirs. Who knows, maybe this jr.rod guy is bad at defending?
But it was fun seeing you land that super, really
and you’ve got some nice air to air going on, so just work on your offense a bit more.
In a bunch of the latest Vega vids posted here, I’m noticing a lot of missed opportunities. A lot. I’m not saying I’m perfect, or trying to pin this on any one person, but with Vega, you need to deal as much damage as you can when you get the chance, to stand a chance. Gotta remember to followup!
I see a lot of j.HP->cr.mp connecting, then no EX FBA/Izuna followups. Lots of AA/Counterhit ST with no followup HK or EX ST. Also after a cr.mk->lp RCF, you can followup with a standing FP. If a J.RH connects, cr.mk->ST is the way to go. Always have that charge ready just in case!
Good stuff though guys, I’m still trying to not lose all my claw skills with my retardedly limited playtime.
anyone care to spar vegas sometime? Rizhall?
1:26 --> EX FBA? Why would you do that? You just wasted an EX bar I think, unless there’s some hidden property that I’m not aware about :s
It’s probably a missed Ultra input that turns in to the EX FBA and drains your meter.
I’ll spar next time you’re on. Have you fought Moniraking yet?
Meant to do it forward. I think it would have hit him, if I didn’t make a stupid mistake like that.
and I can’t spar with anyone. My 360 is dead. No more SFIV for a while.
If I play anymore at all.
Jo Blaq I’ll hit you up, need to up my Vega skills a bit. Not really good at mirrors though
Moniraking? no, can’t say I have. sasaki. meh, mirrors are practice. i’ll switch ppl for u. I have chun li and bison on the side
No it’s better if we play mirrors, so I can actually see a vega that owns my ass
I recently buy the PC version.
It’s fun, noob et good players can play together without shame. :lovin:
I met djWHEAT in G3 :amazed:

The G2 of the 360 is better for the moment…
My first G2 final VS an Abel.

A Ryu.
I think he is average, like me. I made many errors.

A Sagat.
Ho my God ! He is bad… Really. (He even launch 2 Ultra French Style !)
I know it. I play with Alioune on the X360.
But i’m worst… I win but it’s not a good match. :crybaby:

It’s strange.
I have the impression i’m better with the x360.
The game seem less fluid on PC. :wonder:
Today i played vs a ryu and i did the same to finish the match as you did in that one… a Sky High Claw EX from left to right, to his back…
…and he woke up with ryu’s ultra hadouken to the right side, to his back (pursuit property), BUT the the screen was following the ultra hadouken and me, and the border of the screen went away from me and i never reached the fucking border to rebound and kill him… until the hadouken hit me and killed me.
When this shit happens… epic anger
Haha nice~
I met Fubarduck in G2. For some reason, he didn’t feel even close to as hard as JR, and I actually won.
Online probably had something to do with it. But still, it was a little surprising.
