I’ve seen Mike Ross land a couple of these, but for instance i don’t consider it worth it unless you’re damn good at reading your opponent.
I have fought against a lot of good players, and those with the best defense use to wait a bit before to strike back. Just in case, not to be fished by unpredicted frame-traps or invincible reversal gimmick. Best example is vs Boxer after a blocked dash punch.
I’m trying to apply that style to my defense, but it’s hard not to press buttons when you think it’s your turn. (^_^)
There’s a Japanese guy who goes by the name SAJ_Claw on PSN, one of the top ranked players that I’ve been following for a while. Thought you guys would like to see this match against Deejay. I didn’t expect the outcome tbh. I recorded this on my phone so yeah, quality isn’t awesome… Don’t hate.
Yeah, SAJ_Claw is real good. He is one of the most popular Vega players lately. Loved the match. I’ve expected this outcome, but at the third round. Nice come back. Here ends my spoiler.

I wanted to pull out my hair screaming “what are you doing!” many times. So the top comment on that video by that arrogant Cody player really made me mad. <br>And it is also not a usual Uenis performance. He is half asleep.<br><br><br>
I would guess that the chun match was kind of laggy because he wasn’t reacting to those overheads at all… not laggy like the screen is skipping but laggy like you feel like you are playing in soup. <br><br>He should of kept her at st.mk, cr.mp range and NJ instead of jump back as his defense, but whatevs. Gave up to much area with jump backs.<br>
