I fought Chris G again at a weekly local at 8 on the Break in Jersey yesterday. I did better, but I still lost. The #1 reason I lost was taking too much damage when I fucked up my execution (such as accidental ST instead of grab, LP.SHK coming out randomly when I wanted a LP.RCF, and an accidental PPP flip instead of j.HP into EX.RCF combo). I did a lot better not getting frame trapped, although it did still happen a couple times…
Oh, and I floored Noel Brown who picked Balrog. I won a round just with a long Izuna loop vs him at midscreen, which he was unhappy about since he used to play Vega too and knows the tricks haha. MarlinPie who knocked me into losers gave me the most trouble. His cammy is amazing at staying patient and picking key moments to get in. Once he got in, every single time I tried to tech a possible throw I got blown up by EX.CannonStrike. I need to play lamer and tighter vs him for sure if I ever want to beat him again : )
Oooo and I remember that video! Yeah Vega’s vulnerable hitbox is pretty darn small when he’s flying through the air and balled up, but it turns HUGE as soon as you press the attack/grab button. You can beat some anti-FBA tactics by delaying when you press attack significantly - useful for making sure the opponent can just jump-back attack without varying their timing. Another thing I started doing recently, is if I’m almost at full life and the opponent is almost dead, I go for the Izuna loop even if they can escape with an EX move. Either you win the round vs a character like ChunLi/Gouken or they burn a meter (that they needed for the next round) and you still have a lot of life to work with.

I find it unjust that a non-super, non-ultra move (angry scar) freezes the time in the game even though it is for a split second, and makes the opponent fuck up his execution. And it is again unjust due to the same time freeze that Sagat is not vulnerable during this move, which is not even a move at the core of his game, but Hakan is exposed for 53-83 frames during his alike move which is this time the core of his game.
Just saw your matches, you did pretty well, the Sakura MU is 5-5, but Vega just needs to stay on his feet like most MUs, you did good with ST anti-airs. If your still getting HK.ST’s it’s because your charging DB and then F. HP+HK will input the motion for ST rather than kara throw. To remedy this you can kara the back throw. Also Sakura corner tatsu traps aren’t inescapable, you may have to block the first one or two but you should be able to get out afterwards, when I play my friends Sakura I can usually throw him. Also when teching in the corner, you can get a stray jab and start a blockstring, you can end it with a normal FBA (to save a bar) to get out which I do sometimes just to get out of the corner.

Is it possible that any of you have contact with YogaFlame24, that replay uploader in youtube? He only puts Vega replays in which Vega is being raped hard, never puts the ones Vega wins. It frustrates me!
I contacted him about brokkenG getting a Guile theme comback on #7 ranked Bison and never got a response.
