Jozhear - Actually, marquezsf is the one who’s been uploading replays to YouTube, im just watching them and assimilating all the advice I can get from them. However, I’m on a fast computer with a fast line right now so if you would provide me with a dropbox or something with all your replays, then I could upload them for the Vega community, it would be a pleasure.
I think the only problem is that you get so many opportunities to land a combo but you just leave it with the initial hit and don’t continue the combo. You land cr.mk while you have an ex bar but don’t go for the fba many times. You land j.hp but don’t go for that damaging combo after that. For example, in the first round of the second game, if you continued the combo after that j.hp you would have won that round. Or in the second round of that game, you land cr.mk and cr.mp but no follow up.
But other than that, your usage of the normals and your footsies are amazing.
Again, great match.
i want to give everyone props for working hard to not only improve their game play but to help others greatly increase their own and everyone’s.
im trying to get someone of my vids saved but i gotta record em on my droid.
just kidding lol, you did really well considering you had play against Seth and yun. It maybe a personal choice but I would go for the CH xx ST more often although nothing wrong with ex fba. good stuff
on ur first vid, u can tell u were uber frustrated cause he was trolling u out. he was just running from you and making u chase him and catching u. u started CH trolling him back and it was doing u more harm then it was helping. u prolly should have mixed in one or 2 neutral jumps and stopped chasing him. u dont need chase them because u eliminate majority of the risk they need to take to damage u. im a fan of scarlett terror os on tandems because if he swings, u still block, if he tries to grab, u scarlett terror him if he shor its tough but its a 2 out 3 chance for safety and pain on seth. theres a gab between lights into stream u can jump in or jump back.
vid 2, its yun lol. im like its always a guess on if ur gonna hit him of if something is gonna happen. honestly, i prefer st hk instead of grab teching against him. its either take a grab and pay attention to his approach for cross up or get reset, take a bunch of damage and be in the same positionl so when i see jump in, i jus st hk. its makes them try to srk u and then its free damage u did great with the back dashs but he can os that easy so mixing in back dash or jp hp has been my options. i do it in a weird way so u dont get hit by cr lks. its sweet. in the match at 7:00 i bet u would have messed his day up
imma nap then check out the third vid
hope this helps
Heartbreaker on the failed ultra on that fireball and ex walldive came out, that might have been the tournament win for you. Instead it was the loss because it gave you the “stick with an idea in your head and lose focus on the match” effect it seemed like…caused you to look for another chance for that ultra too much so that u even threw it out hail mary style.
For the rest i think you played well, u remind me of jozhear, you both are excellent vega players who create many openings on your opponents, but then you often lack the ability too convert full damage from the oppertunity you create.
Tatsu often seemed to be the other way around, he hit everything he wanted, but had more trouble creating those openings.
Once u and joz learn to do full damage out of most of the situations you get, you guys will be a force to be reckoned with for any player.
Keep on trucking, keep the tournament vega hope alive, i hope to rise up to a level that equals you guys someday as well.
