Nice match, announcers were kind of annoying haha. You started out strong, it’s a shame about that Ultra. That happens to me alot when I try U2/auto-correct U2 against air tatsu’s. Sometimes they cross up at awkward times during the Ultra motion (I think right before you backflipped Daigo crossed over you).
I’d really like to see that video of Chris King vs. Mike Ross. I for one have a whole shit ton of problems with Honda. It’s very frustrating to try and out poke/footsie Honda when he’s attacks do so much more damage. I get too frustrated and than start making a lot of stupid mistakes such as jumping in. Also is there a way to punish his butt slam when he wakes up with it? Regular or ex. I can’t even get a damn jab out in time i feel like. Some advice on how to punish things Honda does would be very much appreciated.
If you do Standing Close Fierce on Honda’s wake up, and he does a butt-slam, the second hit of your slash will hit him. This surprised Mike when I did it to him a few times. Of course, if he has EX meter, you should be wary.
I didn’t kara throw him once. He pokes are too much and I feel like I can’t get it doing that.
I jumped back a lot on his wake up. Either baiting butt-slam or EX headbutt.
I didn’t use many jabs because of the bad punishment I get from his pokes at that range. I stuck with cr.mp, st.mk/hk
To win it, I U2’ed his headbutt. I knew he was desperate and couldn’t get it on me.
Also, I learned that he doesn’t wake up EX Headbutt too often… but instead will wait for you to walk up and push jab or something, thinking its safe.
Mike tends to jump in a lot, in which your best option is ST, or jump back mp. He shouldn’t be able to do this to you.
EX headbutt is serious, so don’t play around with it too much.
OH, and something I forgot to mention. If you ever EVER get hit by his EX-headbutt, and he decides to Ocho Grab for meter, you can ultra 2 it on reaction. If he Ocho Grabs for meter in any situation where you are charging, U2 for free. I missed one opportunity against Mike on this, but wasn’t too worried.
Thanks for the info Chris that’s a lot of really good information. I didn’t think to try to meaty stand close feirce punch on his wake up. and ya when Ex Head butt hits it does so much dmg best to be careful when he has meter.
I played a really good Guy player yesterday and it made me realise how much of a shitty match up it is for me. He needs one knockdown then he can pressure with safe jumps and frame traps all day, not to mention he can punish a whiffed EX Barcelona with Run slide from full screen.
Can anyone help me out here and tell me what I’m doing wrong?
The first two matches are early on before he had me figured out.

Match 2:
In these two he kicks my ass but I do manage to get a round from him.
VERY Meaty cl.hp is good to use until he has ultra , if you time it right, he ends before he can do his EX tatsu , and it breaks hyper armor. However, when he has ultra he can armor cancel ultra you for nice damage, so be wary of that.
Safe jump galore in this matchup , a lot of guys think that EX hurricane is 4 frame startup, that shit is mad unsafe
Splendid Claw is gdlk in this matchup. It shuts down all of his ambiguous jump ins and it beats overhead on wakeup.
So we started doing online first to 10 with Swedens best players, similar to Godsgarden ft10. I played my first match about a week ago and it’s up on either ustream or youtube now. Got sloppy in the middle but picked it up again towards the end. I don’t have the patience for ft10 ^^

Any tips for me? I think I have a decent Vega, but I want to know if there’s more effective things I should be doing. This was against my friend during an Endless Battle. He has a decent Viper (not really shown here), but we’re both not too good, lol.
Are you really looking for advice? The match is just you steamrolling your buddy, who doesn’t seem to have a very good Viper. It’s hard to critique that. To maximize damage, jump in HP combo does more than a FA after a stun.
Just some vids of me that got uploaded theres more on the channel actually under my name if you want to check.
<----- I don’t really take any1 on psn seriously (usually) so when I do find someone that’s semi-competent I usually get beasted on cus I’m messing around lol.
While i was testing out the layout for our tournament this weekend i did a little vega session with boy will. Ive been playin him for about 2 weeks but unfortunately i just dont get to play much SSF4 cause im running the arcade. Any pointers would be awesome. This weekend is my tournament debut and id like to beat SOMEONE.
Two of my ranked fights with Saqs’s Guy from a week or so ago. I think I’ve improved a little bit since then, but I still end up doing stupid things and I end up running into stuff.
Sorry the quality isn’t great but anything else would be too big
