Thanks, im not sure why i thought otherwise. Maybe when i tested it previously the combos i was doing were being scaled because of % of life remaining or something.
Ultra’s can often have a lot of small attacks, and on small attacks, the numbers get wonky, because it’ll be a 15 damage attack, do 70%, which is 11 (because it rounds up) and then the percentage will show 73%, because it shows the actual percentage, not the percentage used for scaling.
Or you’re right, it could have just been a low life scaling thing.
If the cl.MK at 70% damage does more damage than 10% of the Ultra, option 1 does more damage. Otherwise, it’s option 2. If they do the same damage, option 1 is better because it has a little more meter gain.
Is EX palm worth going for? no one is mentioning it since everyones eyes are towards EX roll/best possibility combo solutions. Does EX palm combo into cr.mk? and is it worth going for? want to hear more about this.
You can combo OUT of EX palm, via wall bounce, but you can’t combo into it, and it costs bar, and it’s unsafe (not horribly so, but you can be punished), so it’s not obvious what use it would be? People have said it has lower body invul, which would make it good, but I haven’t seen anybody actually use EX palm like Ryu’s EX tatsu, and if it doesn’t have lower body invul, it’s too slow to really use as a counter hit setup, and the bar isn’t worth the risk, so what would you use it for? Anti-air? Zoning? Punish combo? pressure?
It’s not that we know it’s bad, if you do land it, it looks like it would do good damage even with just a roll kick follow up (assuming that works), it’s just because it cost’s bar, people haven’t really explored what it’s uses might be.
let’s i see, hopefully it can somewhat give mindgames to bisons cr.lk into scissor kick pressure. would u say it’s fast enough to beat the recovery on bisons cr.lk if done on reaction with ex palm?
I’ve seen marn do Yun’s EX palm during FA combos. So I think Yun and Yang can use it for those purposes same with Stun maybe even punishes.

happens at 5:43, yang does Cr.mk into EX rekka into S.HP basically what i’m saying is it worth going for? if not could you like do a mix up into Cl.MP into L.P Kaihou aka teleport after doing Cr.MK into EX rekka in the corner for a decent mix up?
Wouldn’t doing the teleport put you into the corner? If so would that not be such a good idea to corner yourself? Or I could be completely wrong on what your talking about having not played Yang and only Yun. lol
yeah it should put you in the corner and if it does either go for the usual combo leading into the roll kick or just do command grab to mix it up. I mean always go for the most unpredictable things, no? also does cl.MP into Kaihou work as mind games like 3rd strike?

Launch > Dive Kick Whiff > Launch > MK Roll Kick is mad easy. Easier than doing Launch > Dive Kick Whiff > Ultra.
Also, is jab into sweep 100% confirmed? I couldn’t get it off for the life of me. No reason not to roll kick anyway, I guess.
Yes, jab into sweep is confirmed. depending on the amount of jabs you use, it sets up a jump-in situation in which you can either crossup or land in front. I find it better than the rolling kick setup since if you jump, you ALWAYS cross up, and the only real way to hit from the front is generally a divekick.
Also, use rh rolling kick for the double launch combo. More damage.
Edit: I talked to dae about this a while back, he said Yang has some sort of far jab [like boxer] that allows the sweep to connect. makes sense.
his jab has nasty block stun… soo you can keep jabbing for hit confirms on those traps…and on the RH roll kick are you sure it doesnt wiff?? i tried it last time it whiffed… but mk roll kick doesnt…also on focus crumble EX palm to strong palm mk roll kick is very good…and in the corner you can launch fierce palm and lk or ex roll kick… soo you’re able to fierce palm and strong palm in corner combo…
yes, I’m sure it doesn’t whiff - it’s the only rolling kick strength I use.
In the corner after stun or focus, I like ex palm, strong palm, s.fierce. pretty good damage. mk rolling kick might be better for the oki, though.
went to the arcade last night… got a few things down…
Corner combo:
Launch, St. Palm, into mk roll kick (great combo without use of meter)
Launch, Fierce Palm, into EX roll kick— big damage…( if you want to sacrifice EX)
Reset:
Launch, cr. forward cancel lk dash, command grab.
Launch, SJC Fierce, Lk divekick, Command grab.
lvl 3 Crumble combo:
Near wall EX palm, st. palm, MK roll kick.
Near wall EX palm, Launch, dive kick (reset)
Near wall EX palm, Launch, HK roll kick.
These are a few moves i was working with during my arcade matches… hope it helps people in the long run…
Yang can get sweep off of any standing jab, be it far or close.
@XBlades HK Roll doesn’t whiff, it’s just a matter of timing.
I think he meant when depending on the amount of jabs into sweep will open that Jump in situation.

Yea man its all timing, i got the rhythm down for it. you can actually dash up after the launch… but i think its like 1 frame to connect it after the dash… kinda like abels dash kick… cept the theres no dash cancel after launch lol…
