Maybe your ending differed from mine
this is the ending that I had
Basically, my entire team died, including Sheppard. Either traveling to the Collector ship, or once there. I literally just got Legion, and he died before I even got to the Collector ship. I’m glad I didn’t do any of the loyalty missions, since that would of been a colossal waste of time. Maybe there’s a Paragon ending, but I wasn’t really fully either Paragon or Renegade.
So I should just rent the game?

WTF LOL!!! I’m sorry but thats funny as shit. I guess you got owned cause you didn’t do any loyalty missions (totally worth doing btw). For me everyone lived, I guess it’s because my ship was fully upgraded and I took care of all my characters.
The combat is so much better in this game. You can’t go back to ME1 after playing this. No Mako driving is also welcome, though I’m not sure about scanning planets in the long run.
I think playing ME2 helped me to figure out a problem I’ve been having with my PC for some time now. I was getting some intermittent black boxes on the subtitles…aren’t those artifacts? If so, I think I may have to replace my graphics card.
Loving the atmosphere and feel of the game. A lot more than Dragon Age. The loot whore in me misses all the trash drops though.

I did 3-4 loyalty missions, and talked to all sorts of crew members. Not sure what exactly went on, but yah. Super stupid, and the game really made me feel like that was supposed to happen, no real clue that there was a different option.
Did you opt to rescue crew members at the end?

No one ever needed rescuing lol. During the final dungeon all I could hear is people going “Nice shot! We got this”. So everyone just owned. I did restart the final mission cause I got Mordin killed cause I didn’t spend all his level points! They never showed how he died though.
I know you guys are not gonna be spoiling shit here, but I want to mention that if you do, you’re gonna get an infraction for fucking up something for somebody else.

how long does an average playthrough of ME2 take?
I find it ironic that I’m a soldier and I’m using the hand cannon so much… Pistols are too gdlk
Damn…the game crashed on me again. I think my card is done. I just switched back to my old 8600GT…I might try to play with this card, just to see how it runs, but I’m not getting my hopes up. I didn’t have the card for long, but I think the temperature is too high. It was like 85+ degrees Celsius with the game running, and when not in use it’s at 65-70 degrees. Right now my old card is at 45 degrees idle.

Is that to finish the main story, or to finish everything? Either way, it’s longer than the first one.
Finish pretty much everything. I’d say 25 or so is a good figure. And everything pretty much means recruiting; I think I had more sidequests in the ME1 citadel then everything combined in ME2.
A lot of the side stuff in ME2, you just hear random people in town having a conversation and you pick up hints for your journal. You don’t necessarily have a conversation with them unless you find the quest item they’re looking for. There’s nothing like Hackett in ME1 saying “oh shit, we have a problem at this planet, solve it.”
So if you start a new game with a character you beat ME1 with but don’t finish your second playthrough and import it to ME2 does it still read your file as having beat ME1?
If not a list of what main n side missions that affect ME2 would be appreciated…on second thought don’t tell me lol, also how are the classes balanced? in ME1 vanguard was much better then anything else so I hope the classes have more variation.
It’ll only import your first game since your second one isn’t finished.
Vanguard is pretty good since your allies make up for the lack of shit you don’t have, namely warp, because warp rapes armor and barrier stuff. And because the burst pistol/machine pistol are gdlk. I thought engineers were pretty bad in ME2, AI hacking isn’t as good and the drones are ehhhh
