They are only good for Marvel imo.
I never really cared for them. I hated how the look, I didn’t like their parts, they were too bulky and just uncomfortable to play on.
I’m glad no really uses them anymore.

MAS sticks look and feel like they came off an assembly line. Customs look and feel like they came out some dude’s garage.
EDIT
Of course, it is preference. I play everything with my MAS, and prefer it to all other sticks. Jap sticks are and will always be hella gay.
TRY CALLING THEM LOL… They have plenty of x box and ps3 sticks I just orders a 8 button 360 for 180 they just have not updated there site in years 8way over 4 anyday if the weel. My dreamcast and ps2 sticks still work perfectly… Btw you can at least pick the stick and button colors.
Truth right here.
MAS sticks are the best. Period.
Mini Mas competition stick with convex buttons is the best american stick. The regular mas is too bulky.
TE stick is the best japanese stick.
What is this, MAS fanboyism? Yikes. Leave Japanese parts alone!
MAS’s are cool if you’re used to them. It also depends on what game.
I love MAS. I actually thought they had gone out of business, otherwise I wouldn’t have spent $350 on MadCatz sticks for SF4.
Short of playing on an 90s stand-up cabinet I’ve never felt more comfortable than using an old MAS.
That might be changing now as I’ve come to like the ergonomics of the Japanese button layouts. I still prefer the stiff, bat-top (Happ?) sticks though.
I still have cuts on my arms and legs from all the sharp corners.
Actually I think all of the Hori sticks are made in China.
what do mvc2 players use mostly as in joysticks only? I don’t mean buttons or the box either. I heard it was the iL eurojoystick and I also heard it was the HAPP 360. Which one is it or better in most cases?
they offer both
they give out really bad quality p360, angles seems to be messed up on both me and 2 other friends when we purchased new ones last year
it seems they use refurbish sticks
I have a Mas Stick that I bought off ebay a few months ago with one of those awesome pelican PS2 to PS3 converters.
Works 100% fine, no lag input. The stick looks hella cool as wel I think. Love the competition buttons to.
Never had a stick when when 1999 rolled around and I got into MvC2.
i have had my 360 for years and it still works perfectly. Just because its a 360 does not mean you can be lazy with it.
I always thought that MAS sticks were too expensive, but that’s figuring that I can just build my own. As far as “stock” sticks go, I guess they’re a pretty good deal.
I can’t jive with the P360 sticks, though. I have to do all my beasting with ghetto Happ Supers and concave comp buttons.
mas sticks are too huge and heavy for lap play
it might be a converter issue… or are you using this on a ps2 as well?
never had an issue with any converters and I have 3 types. and they do make mini mass sticks as well.
IMO, MAS sticks are the way to go. I still have my MAS stick and after playing on the TE stick I think the button layout and the bat top is far superior to the Jap setup.
Dreamcast + Super Pro Stick = arcade machine at home.
Around 2001 I thought I was hot shit when I bought a MAS stick in high school. Back then tournaments were held 90% on arcade machines, so I knew that if I needed to compete I would need to be able to use a stick.
I was really shitty with it at first. I had been using pads for years and years, and with no arcades around I had no experience with joysticks. I had to switch completely to all charge characters.
My friends alternatively ridiculed and envied me. Mostly everybody else though I was crazy for spending $150 on a controller.
I remember spending as much time just playing with the stick and buttons with the system turned off as I did actually playing. How many of you guys did that? Or still do?
God I loved my fuckin’ MAS stick.
You guys who came into fighting games late just don’t understand what having a MAS stick meant. Back in the late nineties and early 2000’s it was the separator between casual but expert fans and true tournament level players.
PS: My MAS has been gutted and in storage for a year or so now. Been using a FS3 since HDR came out. I might actually get up off my ass and solder in a new PCB today.
