After watching Daredevil, my updated list of best/favorite superhero/comic book based TV series:
[] Daredevil
[] Heroes
[] Arrow
[] Agents of SHIELD
[] The Flash
[] Powers
[] Alphas
[] The Walking Dead
[] Gotham
[] Smallville
*Note: Just making the list is good. I don’t consider any show on this list as bad.
Walking Dead is near the bottom simply because it’s too serious and heavy. The heaviness of the drama dictates I have to be a in a specific mood to watch it.
Like the others said check out the Frank Miller run. It’s where the show gets more of it’s influence from. Brian Michael Bendis and Ed Brubaker runs are excellent reads as well.
Because I enjoyed the first the two seasons that much.
To add, the show has a soft spot for me since nobody really understands what happened. The show didn’t suffer due to the writer’s strike - at all. The show suffered because Bryan Fuller kept coming and going. No other writer had a clue as to what to do with the characters and the show as a whole. Whenever the show was strong, Fuller was writing it. After the first two seasons, there were parts where Heroes looked like it was getting back on track, those were the times Fuller returned to the show. He was getting rid of the sympathetic side of Sylar and bringing him back to the villain everybody loved, etc
He initially left to run Pushing Daisies on ABC. When it was cancelled he came back. Then left again. Then came back. Then left again.
You are totally right. I got myself mad confused, lol. Well either way Gnucci got fucked up bad. I wouldn’t mind them having Frank running around Hells Kitchen though as a teaser. I mean when he was chasing down Rhino and Kraven he even ran into Spiderman, lol.
