I just finished episode 3. The court stuff is really good, but the choreography…the fight scene at the end of the second episode was soooo well done. That single take shot with a lot of action was sexy.
Seriously, it was one of the only things that still bothers me from season one… Who is going to take care of his wife? Who will be DDs reporter for hire?

Spoiler
when the FBI raids the NY Bulletin where Ben worked after the black cop rats everybody out, bearded asshole watches some chick get arrested in his office. Does that mean Beard Guy wasn’t in Kingpins employ?
Also, I found that Kingpin seemed a little underwhelming in the end. His apartment was easy to find, not very secure (snipers could rape him with all those ceiling to floor windows). At the beginning, he is almost mythical in the respect he demands, then later u basically see he is a giant baby who can’t get shit accomplished without Wesley.
Trying to figure out how Karen will fit into upcoming seasons too…
Spoiler
she is killed by Bullseye after Born Again, so does that mean we wont see Bullseye for another few seasons?
edit: Possible Bullseye cameo?
Spoiler
I need to go back and look at it, but the sniper who Kingpin has take out some people, including that one cop, apparently carries around playing cards if you pay attention.
What future business? The heroin was the only business she had. Yakuza did the human trafficking and Russians handled distribution. She was perfectly willing to walk away once things started to go up in smoke. She had no personal stake like the other crimelords.
I dont understand why you guys are going on about Ben, him dying was the best outcome, his wife got the big C and they are broke, now at least she can afford decent medical care/ go to a snazzy hospice to peace out.
Plus he got the job done, he exposed Fisk. Not really a lot else for a broke ass jobless ole reporter with a dying wife to do.
We’re upset about Ben because he’s an important character to Daredevil. Killing off Ben would be like if a Batman film killing off Jim Gordon. Who’s gonna fill his role now?
The editor that fired Ben? Anyone of the presumably thousands of reporters running about NYC? Dont worry man they will get somebody to fill his comic book role.
That would be difficult as it was made perfectly clear that Ben is seemingly the only reporter interested in writing about the crime that’s happening in Hell’s Kitchen.
I feel we won’t know what her initial business is until we get Iron Fist.
The issue with Stick was left unresolved and we don’t have the slightest idea about the Black Sky business. I can definitely see the Hand come into play in season 2.
I liked the decision. I thought I would hate it, but I liked it. That was a surprise for those who see, of course Batman writers would never have the balls to kill Jim Gordon or even the fucking stupid Alfred. They take those characters like they were idols one cannot touch.
So, unlike the main MCU movies we’ve seen, where nobody dies, writers for this were able to take that risk, now you don’t feel like everything is safe, your favorite characters can be killed off, and that’s pretty ballsy. The most important, it worked for the plot, it was a nice end for his character arc.
I don’t think the loss is irrevocable, they can easily replace Ben with another journalist. And if we know how modern producers work, a female journalist more than likely.
My guess is Beardy is gonna step up, I think it was evident Ben and Beardy had a relationship prior to Beardy going all corporate. Having a good reporter die in the middle of an investigation which led to an arrest of Kingpin and watching another one of his reporters (or whatever she was) get arrested for being crooked may have set Beardy back on track to being a good journalist.
