My biggest peeves of IF season 1 was the plodding story and the fact that K’un L’un was left to just mere snippets instead of getting fleshed out over the course of the season.
When Matt Fraction was writing the Immortal Iron Fist, there was a good balance of fighting, character development and exposition which I think could be a great resource if they would be looking into improving IF S2
I finished Daredevil season 2, it was cool. Felt kinda weird though, like the first half was the whole Punisher shit which was cool. Then Elektra and the hand come outta nowhere, and the last 2-3 eps, while entertaining for the action, just seemed a little hurried. I feel they could’ve explained what the hand was earlier in the season so the end game could be reached without rushing. But still a fun watch. I’m actually excited for Punisher’s show
I forgot this was premiering. Catching episode 1 before work then the binging shall commence.
Spoiler
Liking the tone of Episode 1 and how each character’s intro has the same tone of their shows. Problem is this only makes Iron Fist look that much worse
Some people can’t bring themselves not to enter a thread until they watch the latest.
So because of their weakness they want the rest of the posters to shut the fuck up. It’s ridiculous.
As in all show threads, if the show is aired then it’s fair game to talk about it. You have the choice NOT to enter the thread. The only exception is if something leaks early (GoT, OITNB) then you can’t really discuss it until it airs for everyone.
I don’t understand why people don’t get how this works still.
I saw the whole show. It has a quicker pace than the other netflix shows. Having 8 episodes to work with speeding things up were a given. The character interaction is easily the best part of the show. I want to see Jessica and Matt together more. Those two work great together. Overall, the show was underwhelming. The Hand’s master plan and hero’s plan to stop it don’t click with me. It didn’t feel that was worth 3 years worth of build up.
I’m about six episodes into Iron Fist. It’s not nearly as good as the others, but definitely not unwatchable and I’m enjoying it enough see it through. I’m going to finish it before Defenders just to build the context. Claire is in it and I want to see how that plays into the over arching story since she’s been a constant character throughout all the series. My opinion is to watch Iron Fist first, but I am probably in the minority here.
Yes. Defenders picks up where each of the shows left off. Defenders made Danny the single most important character in it’s plot. Character’s mythology is also heavily tied to what’s going on. It made Iron Fist unavoidable.
