rogue is only top tier in vdos hands. the mojority of rouge players arent beasting entire teams with her. i know how to play strider pretty damn well and i got a few low tier assists that can make him as much of a threat as doom. maybe not to top tier teams but to low tier teams oh yeah son. so yeah rogue over strider any day. cyclops has been banned in the past low tier tournaments but i dont really have a big problem using the one character restriction list except for strider.

Tio, heres what I would use if I ran a low tier tourny, thoughts?
Banned - Magneto, Storm, Sent, Cable, IM, WM, Spiral, Cyke, BH, Doom, Strider, Tron Assist
If anything else, also include in the banlist Commando assist, and maybe Psy assist, but other than that, I think that’s how I would’ve done a low tier tournament.
LOL You obviously haven’t seen me mix it up with other playable characters other then cyclops. Ken’s hurricane assist kick is just as good as cyclops, got hulk, bison, zangief and YES I used Omega Red too. IF cyclops gets banned that is NO PROBLEM replacing him, my Dhalsim team will be just as beast. And let’s not forget, I play ton of other low tier teams other then Sim.

God Tiers: Magneto, Storm, Cable and Sentinel are banned
High Tiers: Spiral, Ironman, War Machine, Dr. Doom, Cyclops are banned.
Assist Type: T. Bonne’s Y is banned and Commando’s B assist.
Strider is a MID tier character. He’s not low nor high even under Clock’s hand.
Psylocke is a mid tier character as well. She’s not a high character at all. She have an excellent execution and awesome overhead. But she isn’t a threat as an assist. Makes it easier for Magneto to land those tri-dashes when Pyslocke next is next to him. But, because a lot of people have an issue with her. She can be on the banned list as an assist type.
Opinions on Blackheart being banned?
Blackheart isn’t a threat (well, maybe online he is). But, he isn’t much of a high tier either. Another mid-tier. All he does is jump and throw projectiles.
kinda crazy when people want to banned captains assist and not blkheart which is kind of similar too. Maybe different characters but somewhat similar assist (sorta) in my opinion…just saying!
Perhaps, but CC is more of a damage appealing than BH in my opinion. Not to mention that BH is more of a keepaway assist than “Get the fuck out of my face”.

I always thought of the “top 10” as being top tiers, not the top 9 :). BH should be included in the high tier imo, he’s just a huge problem with a good AA assist(son-son) vs low tier without much effort.
Also I think glitched jugg was banned in one of the low tier tournaments for obvious reasons.
The way you’re supposed to look at it is not how a certain character should be banned compared to the other banned characters or top tier characters. It should be about their impact against the other characters that aren’t banned and which have a definitive advantage. There aren’t that many, if any, mobile characters in low tier, give or take a few (Rogue, Morrigan, Sim, Son Son, Chun, other airdash/trijumpers) and some of the shenanigans that may sometimes work against top tier, would almost be impossible to beat using low tier; and that’s what should be taken into consideration when designing a low tier banlist.
