Hmm, i’ve never played any Marvel games before, but i’m always up for trying new things. I’m rockin Sabretooth or Dr. Doom if their in this game.

Looking forward to summer!
They are.
I will be doing my Magneto/Cyclops/Psylocke A/B/Y with my low tier team of Amingo/Captain America/Captain Comanndo Y/Y/B,
online is going to be serious. but I prefer local head-to-head. Either way…
wow there is a god
Loved the game, not “good” at it by any means though. With online play, there’s gonna be a whole lot of rage quitting
Someone said “Capcom doesn’t own the rights to Marvel anymore”. That’s true in a sense, however Capcom created MvC2, not Marvel, so Capcom owns the rights to the game itself, and therefor anything appearing in the game, technically is there creation, especially since they’re artists drew the sprites.
Imagine if Capcom COULDN’T release it because of Marvel characters and just screwed up the names so they could release it anyway.
My team obviously would be ManGeto, SyFloke, and Badger.
…gg to anyone who got the badger “joke”
Mushroom, Mushroom
I’m just going to have to relearn this game. Playing with you guys basically made me relearn street fighter
figures
I love this game, too bad none of my friends liked it as much as me and stopped playing with me after a few weeks on the DC.
I have a few questions as I would be consider very newb to the MvC2 scene.
A) Wasn’t the original arcade version 6 buttons? And the layout for DC was 4 buttons. This version will it still be 4 buttons?
B) Where did the “Curleh Mustache” thing come from. Shit’s hilarious but I have no clue of it.
mvc2 was always 6 buttons
jab fierce assist1
short roundhouse assist 2
I didn’t count the assist buttons as a button per se. From what I remember:
Arcade layout -
Jab, Med, Fie
Sho, Fwd, RH
Assist 1 - Jab+Sho
Assist 2 - Med+Fwd
DC layout -
Jab, Fierce, Assist1
Sh, RH, Assist 2
finally a game where i have a decent chance of winning at. INFINITES all over the place and all in your face
I think you might be confusing the original Marvel vs Capcom with MvsC2. The sequel in the arcade always had the same 4 button + 2 assists layout of the dreamcast version. The first game had the normal 6 button layout… and morrigan’s sexy demon move…
Mag, sent, whoever.
Assist is when you call your partner out to attack, not TAG out. Third button top row was Assist 1, or call out your first partner to make an attack, and third button second row was Assist 2 or call out your second partner to make an attack.
Jab + Fierce = tag out to first partner, short + roundhouse = tag out to second partner.
So there were SIX actual buttons, and I would say you are confused with MVC1…but MVC1 used six buttons, the basic layout.
You’re all answering the wrong question…

It’s preparing people for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 with SFIV style graphics and engine.
I never play Mag, Storm or Sent., so I’ll be a pretty casual player when this rolls around. Psilocybin and this game do not mix…
lies, the magic mushrooms make everything thing better! THEY’RE MAGIC!
I’m looking forward to playing this game again. There’s only one arcade down here that has it and it’s just too far for me to play and there are times where the buttons and sticks are broken so it ain’t worth the trip.
I played these teams before I stopped playing a year or two ago:
BH/Sent/CapCom
Cable/Sent/Psy
Storm/Cable/CapCom
Mag/Storm/Sent
