Not bad players. players that are just starting out. There’s a difference. There are those that sign on, pick random characters and spam random buttons. When they start to lose, they ragequit. Those are the true bad players. Then there are newbs like me who have a team they want to get good with, know the basics, and try to get better by playing smart. When we do lose, we accept it, look back and see how we could have done better. However, it does me no good if i get killed by some pro MSP within 20 seconds. I dont even get a chance to put what i am able to do to use.
I agree that offline, playing really good players will help you get better quick. But online, where not everyone has a mic, it’s hard to get feedback. and with lag, newbs like me are even more at a disadvantage than the seasoned player.
I just think it makes more sense to pair people of equal skill levels together when playing online. As long as both new players are genuinely trying to get better. So when they win/lose, they both reflect on what could have been improved and both get better at the same time. And yeah, I agree with you to stay away from the real scrubs. There’s no reason to play them except to test out combos and stuff.
And i have no problem with playing against pro players, i just prefer people of my own skill level, and as I improve, hopefully so will my training partners. And i think for some (or most) pro players, its more fun playing against someone that poses as a good challenge rather than a punching bag.
having said all that, ppl on here need to add me so i can get some real practice in.
And yeah i had trouble signing into PSN as well. I am now finally able to log back in. Let’s game!
Makes sense. Try it out, make a beginner PSN MVC2 thread. I’m sure some people that are starting out will appreciate it and later move on to the bigger thread.

Yeah that rank 1 guy has 0 losses. Statistically, thats not possible considering the amount of games hes played. I KNOW there is someone on the internets thats capable of beating him.

As far as the Shadow guy, yeah. I beat him like twice, but he ragequit… So, that’s how he has his perfect record. That guy NS_Dark was Ragequitting earlier yesterday too, but last night I marked 2 or his 4 losses on him. So, I guess he gave up ragequitting…
As far as the whole system, it’s pretty whack. I think I have 6 losses, and EVERY loss is to a Cable that spammed that Assist and caught while Blocking… One of those was to PapaNP up there (Add me!) If they take Cable out, I would have a perfect record too! Lol but I’m sure all the top players are being taken out by Cables too… It’s all good… By tonight, I’m going to be in top 8! Hahaha *crosses fingers

Hrm, funny… for me Cable seems a bit different online. I had trouble doing 3x AHVB online due to the other player recovering faster, or it seemed that way to me. Offline though, Cable plays the same way.
I cant take playing scrubs anymore plz if even half decent add me lol.
i have like 6 losses. The only good person was david L. The rest were these low tier crazy teams that i wasnt ready for.
like the vdo teams. Shits crazy. haha
i havent even really been playing ranked. it doesn’t really mean shit. I’d rather be in a room with good players and play good players all day.
If they incorporate some type of rank/tournament mode then I’ll play more ranked. as for now, I think i’m sticking with player matches
Damn messing around with some of trophies and i noticed how retarded hard it is trying to get the Vampire Saviors and World Warriors trophy. May hit up online later tonight. Gonna have to go hard line instead of wireless.

still having some tiny lag issues. cant fire off guile’s bolos or hulk’s gamma charge very easily. getting better at the 2 button super, but still killer slow, frequently seem to miss the simultaneous hit of both buttons, and i’ll swing an attack out instead, then get creamed.
kinda wish you could set up rooms w/tier restrictions or something, lol. i love a lotta the low & mid tier characters and it would be sweet to see more of them zonkin’ around the matches. i have to say though, i’d miss Sent/Spiral, or Blackheart, and Doom/Strider. the chip damage teams are the only ones keeping me competitive online right now. i can’t get the pixies to land a properly timed hit, for the life of me. course, i’m a little scrubby, so mebbe its only me 
whats the recommendation if i decide to invest in an arcade stick?
just to note, there’s a whole slew of mid-level talent online right now that i’m holding my own with. they’re definitely not poor players, but might not hold up to you fellas who don’t miss a combo, an assit, or a super. do we fall into the scrubs? LOL, or are scrubs an even sloppier breed yet?

psn ranking is BS, i get matched up to super scrubs, its easy to get perfect record if u turn off the game when u lose (example shadowlaw00r) freaking noob im like 40-0 vs him and he turns off game EVERY time his commando dies, he picks same team every game storm/sent/commando boring!!! noob
