This list is incomplete, so just letting you guys know. My MvC2 disc is broken, so there’s no way I can update this unless I get another burnt one.

***** Warning though, some of these Throws into Assist (TiA for short) are not practical, but I’ve tested them on DC and there are some surprises*****

This is bomb info that can easily be applied in each situation. I’ve always loved throwing people into assists and with this list I would like to explore into it. Gotta love kick throwing with Cyke into Sentinel’s ground assist and then air comboing off of that. Oh and cornnuts, if you think that this stuff is useless that just shows how you are narrowminded in opening up to new tactics in fighting so therefore you probably are an easy win, stfu!:mad:

I was wondering when you were gonna do that throw into assist (TiA? lol) list again, I remember it from the older forums. Its a great way for people who knows what throws into what assist w/o them having to check for themselves.

Some TiAs are very deadly, i.e. most of the Magneto ones, he can follow up with his deadly combos, the Iron Man/War Machine ones leads into their infinities, Cammy’s HK Throw is unrollable, so any assist that hits off that can set her up for very painful combos. TiAs are usually “free damage” if the opponent doesn’t tech hit out of it.

Maybe you should put all the info in a text document since srk.com won’t allow you to fully post the list. Just a suggestion, gj.

Corn-nuts, here’s an idea.

If you think this stuff is useless, then simply just don’t say anything and let the thread die. It just so happens that some people think this stuff is useful, hence nobody else would have posted in here. People don’t need your damn approval for threads to go up on SRK, if you don’t like the thread, stay the hell away from it, don’t come in here like some kind of wannabe hard man and say shit like “I already know all this stuff” or “This is totally useless”.

BTW to most people, saying something to the effect of “this list is disgusting” can be construed as a flame, maybe this isn’t like this on your planet.

Also, skill level in the game doesn’t apply in this situation, be you scrub or god, you’re still acting like a dickhead, so challenging people ain’t gonna make you come off less lame here, in fact, probably more.

Back to the topic, IM beta can combo into Storm’s kick throw, I didn’t see that noted, it just needs to be called out a little earlier and you must throw in the same direction as you are facing. This is useful for setting up resets in air combos like…

launch, sj fierce, ad df short, call IM, land, kick throw, IM connects, juggle OTG with d.short, launch etc etc

Well, I don’t agree with Cornnuts methods but he’s partially right. While I admit that it would be nice and flashy and fun to do, a lot of these TiA just aren’t practical. Saying he’s an easy win because he chooses not to do them in ludicrous. In fact, you’ve just increased the difficulty for getting damage that probably won’t add up to a much easier aircombo. Beyond that, whenever you add a slam to a combo, you’re giving the other player a chance to tech hit or slam you instead. The rewards often aren’t worth it. In short, your analysis is way off the mark deadspace.

Back to the nature of the thread, the real challenge now lies in figuring out which TiA give appropriate damage for the risk involved. :slight_smile: Anything that holds them in place long enough for you to dash underneath them us probably well worth it.

Cool list. If you don’t mash Spiral’s throw Strider’s Bird Assist will connect after which you can follow up with a jumping Short, Roundhouse chain if you know your opponent can mash out well.

I don’t appreciate people walking into a thread and flaming it just because he doesn’t like it, nor do I appreciate people who say that with a closed mind. The dude flamed the thread and not many of us liked it cause we’re discussing something that have a degree of value. Calling him an easy win was not in response of him not using TiA but him being closed minded so he might as well stay closed minded to other tactics, which may not be true but like I said the dude flamed the thread after Pryde worked hard to make that list for us and that’s uncalled for. In short, what I find ludicrous is that if you think that i was off the mark then don’t reply back to it with something else that is even more off the mark.

Your assumption that he’s closed-minded for not using a tactic which he doesn’t find fruitful is what I was referring to. You drew this simply on the basis that he didn’t think the list was helpful. That’s what I was referring to, so not only was your reply unnecessary, it was flat out wrong. It was about as valid as saying “You don’t wavedash, so you might as well not triangle jump.” I suggest you learn to read words, rather than infer unnecessary connotations for your defense. I wasn’t attacking you; just stating that your analysis was incorrect. Newsflash: it still is and your reply does nothing to change that.

…the point of this forum is too help people, ya? yea, i did say some of these are not practical, but hey, wat if someone watned to try it? there are people who use different characters. regardless if this list superfluous, it’s information to help people. I tried to make it as easy as possible for people to find out.

there are other people out there who actually analyzed games out there, like CvS2 and how much life they actually have, who gives a shit about information about that or how much each custom combo takes, etc… the point is to make this information helpful, you don’t need to go ahead and tell me some shit like “this list disgusting” or wat ever. just post useful stuff in here so that people wil actually help people out.

damn, whats all this hating?..i know pryde has been working on this list for a WHILE and now that its out, ppl are calling it useless?..what the hell is that?..i dont wanna start shit talking for pryde but a LOT of these are very practical…play him a lil and you’ll see…yea, anakaris into thanos might not have a use, but the other shit he pulls out in game just kill you…cammy into storm, sakura into tron, storm into spiral…shits POWERFUL…

but on another note, doesnt anybody realize that since the forums died, nothing too deep has come out?..either ppl are too lazy or just dont care anymore…this is the like the FIRST in-depth piece of info to be posted since SRK came back…and on top of that, its not some reposting of some old strat, this is completely new…regardless if ppl find uses for it or not, its still information and this site is still a SF resource…just like the frame data on rolls, or the unfly article, this is good shit…much appreciated pryde:)
