Marvel Super Heroes thread

I know this is dump question but does know how to do the spiderman infinite?

Which one?

So I found something that might interest you guys. There’s a way to select what stage you want to practice in training mode. Select your character, select your opponent, then immediately HOLD down the suggested button/s until you see the stage.

  1. Captain America - lp
  2. Juggernaut - mp
  3. Magneto - hp
  4. Psylocke - lk
  5. Ironman - mk
  6. Blackheart - hk
  7. Wolverine - start+lp
  8. Shuma Gorath - start+mp
  9. Spiderman - start+lk
  10. Hulk - start+mk

Awesome find Wolverine-master! The arcade rom would never actually pick Spider-man stage in 2p mode, so now you can play on that stage (in training mode at least)!

GODLIKE CAPCOM…but they still won’t hire me, right?

I’m sexy with the combos:

A few questions, mostly about mechanics, hitboxes, etc…

  1. What does hitting “down” do, for cancels? e.g. Wolverine’s lk, mp, (down), dash infinite. I understand that it makes it work, but why does it?
  2. In that same respect, the CPU can sometimes cancel some dumb shit that shouldn’t be canceled. Can the player do this, or is this a glitch that only the CPU can do, like CPS1 Guile doing walk-up flash kicks? Example: CPU Magneto will sometimes go rh (1-hit), and cancel it into a standing lp.
  3. What’s up with Thanos’ hurtbox? So he looks as large as Hulk, but I drop most combos on him. For example, with Wolverine I can’t seem to get his s.hk for relaunching his infinite. Likewise, if I have him in the corner, I can’t do this combo - (The -d- will indicate where it drops): c.lk, c.hp, c.hk, xxsj.lp -d-, lk, d+mk, hp, hk, infinite.
So my setup to get Thanos into the corner is just the dash infinite, and when I’m there, I need to either burn a meter or do a setup with annoying ass timing - launch, sj, lp, lk, mp, mk, rh, lk OTG, infinite, etc. Does he just have a really weird hurtbox, like Cable in MvC2?
  4. So I mentioned that setup just now, and I have a question about something that seems random about it. I can break fly screen SOMETIMES, but I want to know how to do it all the time, and if I can implement that into other types of combos. So I’ll go in the corner…
s.hk, sj, lp, lk, mp, mk, hk, lk otg, (land), [j.lk, mp, mk, hp, hk].
SOMETIMES I’ll land and I can do a s.hk and follow up with a super jump, but sometimes I cannot - and I think it has to do with the OTG lk in the setup.
    Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Tapping down during Wolverine’s standing Strong causes him to end its animation; tapping down is the cancel command. Cancelling the standing Strong allows Wolverine to recover before the reeling opponent, allowing him to link other moves.
Capcom first implemented this feature in X-Men COTA. In that game, Cyclops is able cancel his standing Roundhouse in a similar way by tapping down and pressing Roundhouse, and, like Wolverine, he is able to link multiple cancelled attacks for an infinite loop.

CPU-only AFAIK. That combo is right up there with the likes of SFA2’s CPU Ryu’s crouching Fierce-> crouch Forward-> Shinkuu Hadouken and SFA3’s CPU Adon’s crouching Forward x 3.

I would say that his weight definitely plays some part in it. Despite his size, I’d probably rank Thanos as being the heaviest in the game, outweighing even Juggernaut.

Thank you for the information.
The down thing cancelling it - Are any other moves like that, or only those moves that have a double animation? E.g. Cyclops’ s.rh has 2x hit (And I think his s.lk and s.lp do as well), like Wolverine’s s.mp… His s.mk is also like that, but does it work the same?

Not because you act like a little girl sometimes, doesn’t mean I can’t/won’t answer your questions.

  1. Middlekick hit that one on the money.
  2. This cannot be explained. No one will ever be able to find/explain everything in a fighting game. But, it’s some sort of suki cancelling. As a matter of fact, it is suki cancelling. What the CPU uses to cancel block animation? IDK
  3. You actually hit that one on the money. Thanos’s body is exactly like CABLE from MvC2. Huge top half, damn near invincible legs.
  4. There’s no consistent way to FSD with wolverine. My best way is to juggle them with [j.lk, j.mk, j.hk] as slow as possible. If they get too low, throw a j.lp in there to bring them back up. The [j.lk, j.mp, j.mp, j.mk] infinite is actually the fastest way to FSD. You can FSD with 3 reps if you do it slow enough. Play me and I’ll show you. I also did it in the MSH Wolverine vid a couple weeks ago.

NO…as far as I know, there’s no one else that can do that. Shuma has something like it…but not exactly.

when i first had brought this game i had my doubts about being good at it until my confidence and hard work of practice really paid off so now im willing to play anyone i tend to have a good spiderman on my hand

XBL: wolverine masta

Anytime you want.

YOUR ON >:)

Good games to middlekick as always.

I’m down to try and take on your Wolverine with my Jugg but ultimately get bodied.

Then add away…

A friend and I were running sets in MSH today and he uploaded them to Youtube. If you wish to see mediocre MSH play, go to:

I’m the Shuma player; he uses Juggernaut.

Kinda late, but can’t Silver Samurai crouch cancel his st.:hp: over and over again for an infinite (wrong game, I know).

Play ME!!

You’re absolutely right…UPDATE!!!
Captain America’s lk infinite needs that crouch dash method as well…thanks DUCK STRONG.
