Marvel Studios | The Infinity Saga ends

I’d like a Cosmic Ghost Rider movie. Everything is so messed up with some humor added, it’s like Deadpool raised to the nth.

I heard some things about Warner Media considering selling their share of Hulu (it’s just 10%). They announced their own streaming service two months ago so they might sell their share to get it off the ground.

Crying.

I fought a bunch of those in Dead Space.

Man, I was just musing on the whole title shift from Infinity Gauntlet >>> Endgame, and I cannot shake the belief that the original name was positively epic and far, far better.

I LOVE semantic shifts, and, if the whole time travel thing, and the way the leaks portray the battles going down turn out to be true, then damn, fam… The Avengers are going to be running a gauntlet, indeed.

I know is comics + movie so 300% fiction but like what’s the point of bringing War Machine against Thanos let alone rofl Black Widow and Hawkeye when you got Captain Marvel Thor and Hulk??

We see on the trailer Black Widow shooting her 9mm … Yeah that’s gonna work wonders…

You mean besides considering that Capt can wield Mjolnir, and the fact that Hawkeye has beaten Universe level enemies in the comics before?

Bruh comics =/= MCU

What does this even mean?

That the characters are supposed to suck compared to the comics?

That because we have yet see some of their godlike deeds, they are no longer characters who are capable of doing what they are known to have done in the other medium?

One of the best runs of Hawkeye was when he wasn’t even really Hawkeye. He was retired, old, living in the ghetto and just wanted to spend time with his dog. He gets roped into an adventure due to someone from his past but “Hawkeye” ends up being a symbol more than the person. It was a really good run.

I don’t think that’s exactly what he’s saying. While yeah, they take a lot from source materials there is going to be stuff they alter or just flat out ignore. Like the origin of Stormbreaker for example. Or the fact that until recently (ugh) the starlord in the comics was literally nothing like the one in the movies. Or how Scarlett Witch’s powers are totally different in the MCU as compared to the comics (truth be told I still don’t know what her power is supposed to be in the MCU. I just know she can make red shit? Where as Scarlett in comics can literally shatter and transform realities)

They’ve also needed A LOT of the villains. Especially Ultron and Thanos.

Just watched Age of Ultron last night again. Both Natalia and Clint are important to the group cohesion, and the movie makes itself aware of how, yeah, they’re underpowered compared to the top dogs, but they are necessary for the group to work as a team.

For example, Natalia has influence over the Hulk, and can sooth him back to Banner. And Hawkeye got Wanda to finally step up and take control of herself to fight. He also provided a glimpse of humanity by taking everyone to his family farm to regroup.

These seemingly smaller measures compared to smashing the fuck out of shit are necessary for the team to work together. Otherwise you have a bunch of super-powered egos fighting with each other.

True.

Now explain Bstman’s use to the Justice League.

I’ll go grab a coffee, maybe level a fresh toon in BL1.

Batman? I don’t know, he’s Batman.

Exactly.

His utility belt is a greater asset than he is.

So is his money.

We have space heroes who can bring materials to Earth beyond measure.

Money ain’t a justification for the Batscot.

I was referencing when Flash asked what his superpower is and Batman told him he’s rich.

Whatever, I don’t try to put too much thought into their functionality by real world standards. If you try to rationalize it that much, you should ask yourself why the fuck you’re watching comic book movies in the first place.

I already know the answers:

Escapism.

And there isn’t anything else on.

I can buy escapism, isn’t that what all entertainment really is? I just like to be less critical to allow myself the opportunity to suspend disbelief. If I stayed too rooted in reality when watching movies about comic book characters, I’d realize that none of it makes any sense.
