Anyone here planning on buying the UHD blurays for the older Marvel films that come out at the end of the month? Definitely buying the Captain America trilogy.
Naw im just gonna look for the normal blu rays. I rarely buy movies new.
Anyway just got back from Captain Marvel. Was awesome, really liked it, was a lot of fun. Really liked Brie in the role to, she was fun when needed but also did serious or troubled well. I liked her. I mean itās not an Oscar performance or anything but it didnt need to be.
I had fun and thatās what I wanted so good times.
Yeah, Iāll probably end up with the whole collection on UHD. Iām going to hold out and see if there will be a complete package available though. I have a few of the movies on Blu-ray, and Infinity War on UHD already. Iāve been very tempted to buy everything available, whether on Blur-ray or UHD, but I figured the older movies may get remastered, and Iām hoping for a complete package of the first three phases once Endgame comes out on video. Iād like to avoid buying them twice, as much as possible.
I buy all my movies digital now. So. No.
I may buy a few of them for a friend though. He loves steel books for games and movies. I hate steel books.
Scott Pilgrim probably a top 10 movie for me. I love that quirky shit lol
Thatās actually the only way I buy physical movies at this point. Any reason why?
Iāve pretty much got most of the recent MCU steels. I find that GOTG and Dr. Strange are my two favorites. Civil War may be the least appealing. The only movie that I imported a Steelbook for was a Korean release of The Avengers.
Fun note about that movie is that it was green lit before Brian even finished writing the comic and the screen writer for the move more-or-less wrote how Brian was going to end the series without even realizing it. They tweaked a few things to make it more āmovie goer friendlyā but yeah.
Also. I donāt like Scott pilgrim. Brian Lee OāMalley is awesome though. Iāve met him a few times at comic-cons when Scott was popular but not super over like it eventually became. Iāve read his other work too which are great. I just donāt like Scott Pilgrim. Itās just meta-gamer jokes, shitting on Canada (which Iām sure you love), no redeemable characters except maybe Knives and making fun of vegans. Cool. I guess. I get why people like itā¦I guess? I just donāt.
The movie is passable??? I canāt stand Michael Cera in anything outside of Arrested Development. The girl that played Knives was cute. Oh and Mae Whitman being one of the evil exās (the name escapes me.) was cool cause I love her.
The video game based on the movie though? perfection.
Thatās real talk. What an amazing beat em up lol
Movie Scott is a way better person than comic Scott. Both Scott and Ramona are terrible people in the comics. Also comic Scott is basically a pedophile
Yup.
For sure. Itās up there with the Capcom DND beat em ups, sunset riders, Simpsonās and turtles in time. Imo.
17 is legal in Canada, right, @odin?
Get your high school girls on.
I think Scott Pilgrim comic and movie is terrible. Iām not a fan of anything that relies heavily on pop culture. Itās guaranteed to age horribly. Canāt stand shit that feels dated the moment it ends.
The video game is the only Scott Pilgrim I like.
So if R.Kelly would have moved to Canada he could have stayed out of trouble.
This was one of my main issues too. Especially when it used references itās readers likely donāt even know. Which they did a lot. Namely all the subtle jabs at Canada and constant obscure video game references.
If he only knew the REAL land of the free was up north.
Knives had just turned 17 and Scott was 23.
Saw the Steelbook for Civil War thatās going to be released next month. Definitely much better than what came before.
