I have only seen one midnight showing of a MCU film - Thor Ragnarok.
It was pretty fun . Thankfully I didnt have to go anywhere the following day .
In general, I go to Friday day showings or sunday afternoons. I usually got the area with more legroom at the middle and the $8 fee.
I went to Avengers: Infinity War on Saturday of opening weekend and while it was cramped, I could make do initially .However, there was a “stereotypical” black girl reacting to almost everything very loudly .“Oh hell naw” and such during the deaths at the end etc.
After the credits began to roll, a white girl two seats down from her said,
“Could you please not narrate and react to everything please?”
Black girl: “Im just an exuberant joyful person and I need to do that to enjoy the movie.”
White girl looked like she wanted to do Deadly RAVE on her.
When I went to see capn marvel last weekend a chinese chick came and sat next to me. Girl was already super stinky but then she opens up her bag and pulls out a huge box of god knows what to eat.
It was hella stinky and not only was she crunching and munching on that food but she was also reacting over the top to everything. Like even a small minor joke (eg. The science officer scene where he couldnt figure out the thing was in orbit) she was like bwahahahahahah.
My point isn’t about a specific style being short vs long. The music industry as a whole has switched to shorter songs. They don’t make money off albums anymore but off of shows and single songs. The shorter they are the faster to the next song the more money they will make quicker.
That’s crazy. I’ve pretty much gone to every big blockbuster opening since The Phantom Menace and have only had one bad experience; and that was two years ago.
Luckily, the first showing here is usually around 7 PM.
Scary Movie 1, the Brenda character nailed that scene at the movies. I lived in NC and I totally identified with the audience there. Always cracks me up
The one character that I want to see level some stuff is War Machine. Don Cheadle is a solid actor and is under used in this story. He needs to dish out his Sunday best.
According to some leaked toy prototypes that tie in with the movie he’s getting his own version of the “Hulk Buster” iron man armor. So. He likely will get to blow shit up and be a major player.
Personally, I’ve liked all of War Machine’s armor’s in the MCU over Iron Man (sans Iron Patriot). The shot with Rocket appears to have a new armor used. The head design is somewhat different.
Reminds me of back in the day. There would always be that one dude in crew that would dip when shit got heated. It was usually the dude that talked the most shit before you left for the club.
