Get Woke Go Broke
Captain Marvel has grossed over $760,213,933 worldwide in two weeks.

@zatalcon1

Yeah it isn’t a TLJ situation. That dropped 70% in week 2. CM had the same % drop as Infinity War. People were so quick to hop on the percentage drop on Monday. They should have waited for the whole weekend before boxing themselves into a corner. I wonder what they’ll say now.

The folk that were talking shit will just either go silent slinking into the void that is the Internet or start nitpicking for another reason to knock the film because it’s star or the perception that Marvel is trying to push a female in place of a male.

Which is beyond stupid because 95% of most of these people that complain probably never bought or knew the OG Mar-Vell or cared outside of his death story. As a long term Captain Marvel fan, Carol is definitely not my favorite person to get that title but the hate isn’t logical.

So, I’ve heard another person say the same “Gunn was fired temporarily, to keep the merger going” theory. This time though, they’re saying that it was done so that Trump wouldn’t screw with the merger the same way he did with the AT&T Warner Bros merger over CNN’s unfavorable reporting.

Biggest thing they point out however is that Disney never seemed to actually look for a replacement for Gunn while he was fired.

Some say it was a PR stunt and everything was fabricated

It’s almost like a pro-wrestling angle. Has Batista been teaching them a thing or two about kayfabe.

Photo of Disney “firing” James Gunn.

Def not everything

I been seeing shit about how Disney and Fandango have been colluding to inflate the numbers. The denial is real.

and yet considering how much DIsney put into this with Marvel, they REALLY want to push Carol hard so it wouldn’t be too far out there to consider this.

I don’t care about that nonsense speculation.

Here in Latin America, theater rooms are still full.

Yeah this is beyond pathetic. Theatres don’t carry movies people don’t show up for. As a public traded company Disney has to answer to investors. If it were so easy to “rig” the numbers then why did they take the massive L for Solo. Why didn’t they make it seem like it performed better? We know the answer to that

Movie is a success so now they’re looking for excuses. Just take the L and move on :joy:

People are that mad at Captain Marvel doing well in the box office, huh? :joy::rofl::rofl:

Did the poor babies get their feelers hurt? :sob:

Remember back when people who didn’t like something, just kind of brushed it to the side, and forgot about it?

Po Pimp Farms remembers.

Will Storm show up first in Black Panther 2 post-credits scene?

What do you think, over or under 50%?

They took the Monday 72% drop and ran with it. Instead of waiting the entire week. Now they are crying because the movie had a typical 54% drop. The same drop as Infinity War. This situation has exposed a lot if the Anti-SJW crowd as hypocrites. They spinning shit just like the people they typically call out.

Hmmm…hadn’t considered it. The merger will have been long completed by the time Black Panther 2 shows up in 2021.

I would prefer BP2 to be its own thing, give everything more time to develop before introducing all the mutant stuff. But Storm in a post-credits would be a nice fanservice and it would make sense

BP3, afaik, could be the movie that fully-fledged introduces the mutants into the MCU. Idk, I love the idea of a black Professor X.

Wakanda’s “international aid program” or whatever, could be the responsable of financing Xavier’s School or something. Maybe T’Challa’s sister could have helped building Cerebro and that.
