They actually offered her the part of Black Widow before Scarlet Jo, but she turned it down because of scheduling and according to her a dislike of the whole multi film contract thing.
I do agree she would be dope as Captain Marvel but from what I see it ain’t like Larson is bad.
Ah so she was the first choice. That makes sense, she seems more suited to the role to be honest.
An R rated X-23 movie sounds great. Hope they do it. It’s not Marbel, but they finally made Hellboy R rated.
Second trailer is way better than the first. I bought the trade for this movie now I’m really curious how they condense it all into one movie cause it’s a lot of info. Especially given that they gotta do a mini retelling of his origin too
I hate everything about that trailer. The second one is far more superior and actually makes it look like a decent movie. The first trailer absolutely turned me off to the movie and made me not want to see it.
I think Brie is fucking hot, especially when her eyes are all glowing and shit.

Looks like the review embargo for Capt. Marvel has been lifted. Haven’t watched or read any of them, but given that it’s 2 days before the release, sounds like it will be a solid to meh.

So the standard marvel affair.
I’m seeing in the reviews there were some very good moments in the movies but also many things that should have been better. The consensus seems to be “good, but flawed”.
I expected better, but I’m gonna watch anyway so who cares 
Good but flawed? Sounds like it’ll exceed my expectations slightly. I expected it to fall somewhere between Thor and Hulk.
Honestily we can’t trust the critics. Don’t wanna sound conspiranoic, but they tend to overrate “minority-led” movies a bit.

Which is why I’m not changing my expectations any. 
Personally, Thor was one of my favorites in the MCU. I was thinking it’ll be good in the Iron Man 2 sort of way; It’s decent and pretty much just a springboard for the next Avengers movie.

I’m one of those weirdos that think IM2 is the best of the 3 and consider it in the top 10 easily. I liked Whiplash and Justin Hammer was fucking godlike.
I made a point in the Movie thread about people favorite movies. I don’t knock anyone for preferences. I can totally see those as valid points. Honestly, Hammer should have been a minor foil in the movies.
