Marvel Studios | The Infinity Saga ends

Wonderman, the hammer is his penis

Don’t forget that Zemo also called for that final order of room service to make sure the hotel would find the deceased doctor, which would prove to tony that cap was telling the truth and lead him to the base in siberia as well.

The way I saw it, he didn’t necessarily need to show it to Tony and Cap there and then. He just needed the coordinates to get the footage which he worked so hard for. If they came while he was still there and he could get it up and running, fantastic. If not, he’d just leave and find some other time to show it to them while they were together.

Like the rest of his plan. Torture a guy to hopefully complete his plan faster, otherwise he’ll just pore over the notes longer if the guy insists on dying. Move the fated day a bit back on the calendar, no big.

(Ha at Raz0r still being so bored in Europe that he still tries to troll.)

Yeah, I don’t get why some people are acting like the way it happened in the movie was the only way it could possibly happen when Zemo literally tells us that the way it ends up happening is the much bloodier back-up plan because HYDRA guy stayed a stubborn asshole to the end. Audiences really are idiots I guess–I can’t say I’m surprised.

Sure, the movie has some flaws, I’m not going to dispute that since every creation has at least a few, but we are literally told at least twice that Zemo would rather not have done it the way he ended up having to do it, hence part of why he also partially apologies at the end.

[details=Spoiler]Literally all he needs is the tape that confirms that, yes, Winter Soldier did personally kill both of Tony’s parents, which was locked up in Siberia since apparently that’s where Bucky was stationed when he was ordered to do it. Granted, the overall effectiveness of that plan causing the Avengers to implode hinges largely on Captain America (or Black Widow, who technically also knew,) not telling Tony that HYDRA was at least involved in his parents’s ā€œaccidentā€ even if neither of them were able to confirm that Bucky himself killed them while brainwashed. If the HYDRA guy Zemo ended up drowning had just told Zemo where the base was, then Zemo actually might have even made good on his word of letting him live despite the guy pretty much deserving to die. At the very least, the NATO building wouldn’t have been bombed to force Bucky out into the open by framing him, which means that T’Chaka and other people would still be alive, including the people killed afterwards like the counter-terrorism personnel Bucky kills while brainwashed or the psychiatrist Zemo impersonates, and Rhodes wouldn’t have ended up crippled.

As for the Avengers and Zemo just sending them the tape less dramatically (or, hell, broadcasting it to a much wider audience by releasing it on the Internet or both), even if they hadn’t imploded as violently as they did in the movie, I imagine that Stark would have been far less amenable to helping Rogers find Bucky after that point and thus things would have become rather strained between them at the very least. That’s almost as dangerous for them as trying to outright kill each other really, as shown when Rogers literally almost died at the beginning of the movie because he let Rumlo distract him with lies about Bucky, whom Zemo actually couldn’t care less about given he killed the unnamed five other Winter Soldiers the first chance he got.[/details]

…I think that may make the most amount of times I’ve used ā€œliterallyā€ consecutively and actually meant it with literally no hyperbole, which is saying something about how obvious this whole set-up is. There are definitely other arguable issues with the movie, but Zemo needing things to go ā€œperfectlyā€ isn’t one of them if you actually pay attention to what he’s actually trying to accomplish.

Aw shit! Michael B. Jordan gets to be in an actually good comic book movie finally!

Maybe this will put the kibosh on Kinberg’s plans for a Fant4stic sequel.

Welcome Michael B. Jordan to the real Marvel side!!
If this is the final death nail to Fox’s Fanstatic 4 series which brings the franchise, Doom, and all the cosmic entities back in Marvel Studios hands, I welcome it!!

If we’re going to keep talking about the upcoming Black Panther movie in here, then I have to say that another thing I really liked about Civil War is that it manages to get Black Panther’s origin story out of the way for the most part without him even being the lead character. That means that for most part, outside of maybe a brief aside to the mystical and linage aspects of the Black Panther role, T’Challa’s solo movie shouldn’t be bogged down by the origin story stuff the MCU has been so good at avoiding while other non-Marvel super-hero movies let it take over at least half of their movie’s screen-time.

It also means that come time for his solo movie, people won’t have the excuse of ā€œwell, I don’t know anything or much about himā€ that Hollywood still uses to exclude any of the superheroes who aren’t basically well-known white guys from headlining solo (superhero) films.

That’s some excellent decision making there. If only other studios could have followed it…

looks at FOX, Sony, and DC

Which one?

snickers

(Yes, I know you mean Martin. It just amuses me that people apparently still confuse the two.)

Inhumans are no longer apart of phrase 3. Movie not canceled

As for Michael B. Jordan, Kinberg must be crying right now. That should drive the nail of any Fant4stic sequel he got cooking.

Fuck Kinberg.

I hope a bunch of rocks fall on that nigga and then he gets his brain blown up by a metal crash test dummy.

This is way too good.

MBJ has been saved. Sure, he’ll probably get relegated to side character status but hey, what can you do?

Better than having your name attached to a complete turd.

What did Chronicle do to you? :coffee:

(They said he’ll possibly be playing a villain, so while he may not be the main villain if Serkis is in the movie as Klaw, he probably won’t be a complete side character.)

That said, it would be somewhat darkly humorous if he ends up as Man-Ape given all the racist rhetoric over him being a black version of The Human Torch in Fan4stic before that movie even came out (and bombed harder than Fat Man and Little Boy).

The fact that they were even CONSIDERING a sequel to Fant4stic makes me wanna drink bleach.

Dear Fox,

*Fuck your shit! I get to be in a REAL Marvel superhero movie! *

-MBJ

This news makes me happy

Would lol if they make mbj the android human torch

Saw a 7PM showing yesterday, Friday The 13th. LOL

Was pretty dope. Was there for mainly 2 things:
-Wanted to see what it’d look like on-screen when Cap/Panther went at it. Verdict: YASMOREPLEEZ.
-Was Spiderman’s inclusion senseless? Verdict: Yes. -- Aunt May: WTF? Youth serum? -- HollyWood please…

Oh yeah, I knew it would be but damnnnn…Cap/Bucky beatdown on Stark: SAVAGE. LOL

BTW…I couldn’t help notice Boseman’s nonstop twitch in his right eye the whole movie. LOLOL WTF Anyone see that?
