Iâm a little worried to see Marvelâs not integrating Spider-Man into the Civil War merchandising.
Yes, one might say they want to stay spoilers-free and save the character as a wild card, but we havenât seen him in a poster, in the lego toys, funko pop figures or another kind of merchandising with the other heroes.
Itâs either that theyâre doing a very good on keeping everything related to him away from leaking or theyâre actually not planning to sell many Spider-Manâs merchandising, which would be worrying, since Spider-Manâs the best-selling superhero (and it would be logic to think thatâs the main reason for the Marvel-Sonyâs alliance, to take advantage of Spider-Manâs appearance to raise the profile of the Avengers merchandising).
Why would be Marvel so reluctant into integrating Spider-Man to the image of their MCU? That could be a sign that the alliance is fragile and may end up being fruitless or dissolving in the endâŚ
Or the obvious, that the Spider-Man stuff in the movie isnât done and he probably doesnât have that big a role in the end. Stop being paranoid. Neither has anything to gain from blowing everything up.
Like you wouldnât be buying ALL the merch if it was Miles âMove Thiefâ Morales instead.
Concept art and promotional material are done way before the movie is finished. The Russos said Spider-Man is integral to the storyline.
And I doubt War Machine and Giant-Man have a bigger role in the movie than Spider-Man, but we have seen their Funko Pop figures, Lego sets and more.

Miles is a poor imitation of Peter Parker. I mean, I like Miles but letâs face it, heâs pretty much the same as Peter (shy nerdy boy who keeps secrets), only less significant.
Hes not as stupid as Parker is so thats a plus.
