With Death in the Strange movie, Iām thinking it will be the Soul Gem in that one, however I dunno if Iād trust anything besides Doctor Strange with doing a solo movie based around the Time gem.
Still, you could have Guardians 2 deal with the Time gem, and do it in a funny way (especially given how clueless everybody is about it).
I donāt see them putting another gem on Earth, it looks really fucked that like every stone except one, was pretty much on Earth.
Too many gems shouldnāt be in Earth. There was the lost Tesseract and that should be all.
Aether was in the Dark World, Thanos had Lokiās Scepter and the Orb was in a faraway planet.
Iād bet the Soul Gem is hidden in a mystic dimension or something, and the last gem should surface in Thor: Ragnarok, maybe in the Fire Giants world or something.
Im neither excited or disappointed hes directing black panther. Hes literally done one notable movie, creed, and its good. He could easily fuck black panther up. EASILY. I hope he takes black panther seriously, and understands that this could be the blockbuster movie that changes the game.
We found out through the sony leaks how basically they cater to china when it comes to casting in blockbuster films, and they essentially dont even put out black movies outside of america. Black panther has the opportunity to show hollywood that people just wanna see good shit, regardless of a mostly black casting, even in shit hole china.
I dont wanna go see black panther just to be inundated with social commentary about racism and prejudice every 25 minutes. Just go be a bad ass comic book film, and dont try to spend time trying to overtly address social issues.
I just have this gut feeling that weāre gonna get more focus on african shit and random social commentary nonsense, and not enough straight up ass kicking, dope tech, magic, great fight choreography, etc⦠I dont know, i havent read a bp comic in forever, and i was going to catch up on a few main stories a couple months ago, but never finished. lol

The best thing for a director to do is normalize black panther, while pointing out some of wakandas extremely unique points, being the most technologically advanced country in the world that avoided colonialism. We understand what wakanda represents. I personally would just make sure the hint is obvious and subtle. I dont want black panther having to put on unnecessary weight of race issues and nonsense, on top of being the comic book character he is. If i articulated that correctly. lol**
So yeah, my response to the announcement until i see a trailer in a couple years.
I see your point, I donāt want it to be seen as a white guilt movie. Ava DuVernay and Marvel not seeing eye to eye might have been a blessing after all.
I knew youād bring up fruitvale station. lol. No one knows that movie existed. They probably first heard of it from michael b jordan mentioning it in interviews for creed. It was a low key indie flick that was released in select theaters. Pretty easy to miss.
James gunn maybe not so much, with only super, dawn of the dead, and lolipop chainsaw being recognized by me. Guardians was definitely a break out for him. Russo brothers did alright for themselves in tv work though it seems, and it shows, because captain america winter soldier is an overrated movie, loved by the blind and deaf. lol
So yeah, coogler has the chance to do as good as the next guy if he seals the gig.
Axel is editor in chief for Marvel now, right? He would be the type of guy to let creators go ham. Thatās what he did when he was in charge of Vertigo, Marvel Knights and MAX.
