That is a misleading poster but, I too would buy it and hang it on my walls.
Edit I would even pay to see the crap movie to get it.

Oh. Well. Yeah. Like I said, the poster is vastly more appealing than any of the trailers for it.
I wouldn’t call great artwork misleading. I look at it and feel bad that such work is being wasted on something that’s going to be a dumpster fire.

They shouldve just had dark phoenix show up to dump on apocalpyse in the previous movie.
It’s not a misleading poster, it just has nothing to do with what it is advertising beyond a red head, an X and a Pheonix.

Early reports/rumors/leaks/whatever you want to call them are saying that the Disney+ Marvel content unless otherwise stated is going to “bridge the gaps” between MCU releases. They want to do this so the MCU feels more expansive and immerse. The general idea is doing it will better the narratives, world building and make the events that happen within the MCU more impactful and engaging for the viewers.
If true; smart move and a much needed one.
