She does not view herself as evil. She is basically uses powers from the Dark Force dimension or whatever to extend her abilities while preaching against it. She hides this because she knows it is hypocrisy but she does good deeds to try to atone. Still for doing it and keeping it a secret.

It’s still on-going. It’s even still done in 4-7 issues mini-series format. They’ve done a lot of crossovers too like GI Joe, Ash (from Evil Dead) and Batman.

How they created Thanos in IW
What are the odds that the reason they established the multiverse in Spiderman first is because they wanna bring in miles? Like maybe they go the Gwen Stacy route and Peter never becomes Spiderman in his universe. And he kinda figures things out on his own.
It would also help to explain why so much of miles life is taken by Peter. Obviously we know they did it for a fresh take but in kayfabe world it explain and even give them a point of reference to bond with.
