Comic Thanos can already body anyone in Marvel, Comic Thanos didn’t fight aliens and the Avengers for the Stones, he was fighting and bodying fucking cosmic entities that would not even notice the Avengers even exiting as the Avengers would be below their notice.
Read the paper back trade for the 2 part comic The Thanos Quest, where a Thanos is brough back from the dead by Death her/it self to fulfill her desire to kill off half the universe and convinces Thanos he is the guy for the job. He learns about the infinity gems and takes on cosmic beings like the Inbetweener.

Thor handled IG Thanos on IW by himself, endgame Thor was like below Cap tier lol. Hulk wasnt even shown on the big fight. Is also interesting his regeneration didnt work or was neglected for whatever damage the gems did to him. Like he was shown to almost drown dafuq
Missing context. Drax is very strong, but it wasn’t a battle. Thanos was busy freeing Galactus to save the universe, but Drax was blinded by rage and attacked.
Thanos was easily killed by Drax once, no one can change that.
Anyway, yeah, Thanos is pretty damn powerful in the comics, him being able to defeat Hulk in the movies is not “nerfing Hulk”, in the comics it would have been the same result, if not having Thanos to win even more easier. They sort of nerfed Thanos in the MCU, to be true.
Oh yeah, Thanos has every skill the entire Avengers Cast has in spades, I don’t mean the weak MCU, I mean the real avengers of 616 where everyone worth note if they aren’t a regular member of the avengers is a reserve member waiting to be activated. The Entirely of whole other teams are just back up reserves (X-men, Fantastic Four, Defenders, ect), and Thanos can thrash everyone of them at their own game short of getting the Phoenix Force involved. They Nerf Thanos in the movie because they nerf the fuck out of everyone else in the MCU as well.
Its more of akin to watching The Alpha and Omega Darkseid from the beginning of the New 52 trash the 70s Super Friends for shits and giggles, and that’s without the gauntlet. Killing Thanos is not defeating him, its an minor inconvenience for him.
Except Comic thanos sans the Gauntlet does that on the regular, when Infinity and Enterinity is worried what the fuck Thanos going to do, when your only hope is the hope that the One above all (Not the Celestial, the One above all the Living Tribunal works for) gets annoyed to step in, and he rarely does anything.
Yeah, especially after Endgame, this feels like something they should have dropped years ago. I do wonder like Captain Marvel how they will tie it into the future films.
I don’t think so either but they’ve shown nothing of note about Task Master which makes me thing he’s 100% a she and that’s gonna be one of the big reveals.
