Stu, Max, you are both dead wrong

What makes them wrong?

And yet… his avatar.

I mean, if Galley isn’t a literal caricature of female empowerment, who is?

Amazing movie, 9/10.

Stuff

Glad they went the time travel route, because that way they got to reintroduce everyone that made the movies special. Thor got to see his mom, Tony got to chat with his dad, Steve got a glimpse at Peggy and even got to spend his life with her at the end.

Gamora ran away because she wasn’t fighting for Thanos anymore and thus didn’t get snapped away, guaranteed they look for her or find her in the next GotG movie.

Wrapped up every loose end that needed to be wrapped up. Looking into plot holes for time travel is a waste of time, because it’s a comic movie and shit is not supposed to make sense if you look at it logically. Just accept what happened and be at peace.

Amazing experience on an epic scale, I’m glad to have experienced it.

it literally didnt wrap up any time travel shenanigan loose end. no ones being nitpicky, the movies either got lazy or its a storyline for down the line. it has nothing to do with “oh its a comic movie” they literally gave the movie rules for timetravel and fucked with it

I didn’t say it wrapped up time travel loose ends. It wrapped up loose ends for the characters internally, like Tony getting closure by talking to his dad, same with Thor and Cap no longer worrying about “what could have been” with Peggy.

Time travel is always full of fuckery, but it was the only way to bring back almost every character back into one movie.

And yes people are being nitpicky, are you kidding me? lol

No. I’m not going to just “accept” what happened cause what happened was horse shit. And no. It wasn’t the only way to bring the characters back. It was just the easiest and laziest but also one with the biggest implications and fall out. Now they have to worry about what they wrote and how to untangle a web of shit because it left too many gaping holes in logic and reality.

Time travel is fucking dumb.

“Wrapped up every loose end that needed to be wrapped up.” thats exactly what you said, and it didnt.

Summary

There’s nothing to untangle since the past can’t be changed. As Bruce said when he explained the time travel rules, the present becomes the past. It’s how nebula can kill her past self and still exist. It’s the ending with Cap is where it potentially falls apart. Every else is gravy.

Summary

Yea sorry, I should have clarified loose ends that refer to those characters internal struggles.
I could give two shits about the time travel stuff, look how angry it’s making Stu.

Your reasoning here is more than likely the truth. Saying just accept it for what it is is not good enough reason for someone to hit the “I Believe” button and call it a day. Movie’s do this all the time so it’s not saying that I didn’t enjoy the movie. It’s one of the best story conclusions probably in cinema.

Summary

And I guarantee you they are likely going to retcon that shit because time travel never just happens with no implications or fall out. That along with Cap likely fucking up the time line and with Thanos destroying the present day gems a lot of dumb shit is about to happen.

Thanos destroying the present day gems isn’t a consequence of time travel though. The only real consequence I can see is the reality where Loki gets away with the tesseract. He’s got his own series coming it’s likely going to be addressed there.

Summary

No. It isn’t. But, the ancient one said the stones keep time and reality in check. They don’t exist anymore in the present day. Obviously there is going to be fall out from that.

As I’ve previously mentioned one of the few things I’ve enjoyed about MCU is that despite being based on comic books they’ve kept everything very grounded and plain black and white. Everything makes sense in the universe they’ve worked 10+ years in building.

Time travel is such a tired and overused comic book trope and it usually fucks everything up. No matter how simply it’s done or how simply the “rules” are explained. It NEVER goes as planned and it makes a whole slew of problems. Splintered time lines, alternate earths, reality altering, paradoxes, all sortsa silly shit.

It was literally the one and only thing I was hoping the MCU would never do because despite it being “easy” to do all it does is complicate. But now that they’ve done it I don’t really have faith in any writer to fix it or make sense of it. If they just flat out ignore the implications of time travel too that’s just as bad. Cause it doesn’t work that way. Never has, regardless of the medium. Especially in comics.

There is a consequence to their time travel it will be a good way to introduce Kang the Conquer. Time fuckery will be turned up to 11.

Summary

No thank you. Kang is so god damn convoluted I don’t think he’d be a good choice. And it would just involve more time travel/splintered time lines/alternate reality BS since that is Kang’s entire fucking gimmick. It’s like you want to see me upset. :frowning:

Kinda do honestly, your anger over it is kind of hilarious.

Soooo does that mean that there’s two Steve Rogers out there? When present cap goes back to the 40s, isn’t past Cap still frozen? That would be a dick move is present Steve left past Steve frozen and moved in on Peggy.

OR maybe he did the right thing (cuz he’s goody goody like that), unfroze past cap, let past cap be with Peggy as he found someone else down the line… ugh… I hate time travel.
