I think comparing this game to powerstone is a little harsh dont you think? I mean powerstone at least had a punch and a kick button, which made doing a combo atleast a little more rewarding. that and the level design for ea marvel looks weak.
I played and it’s fuckin muah perfect lol j\k! It’s not that good but good nonetheless! I played it at ebgames the other day…It for some reason reminded me of beatdown fists of vengence!

Those Imperfects are the worst character designs I’ve ever seen. A balerina who causes earthquakes? A shirtless angst-man whose rage goes back to the fact that he didn’t have electricity in the 50s? I can’t believe someone got paid to write that crap.

Marvel has a weak side representing them, and the Imperfects are all lame. As soon as I saw the chick with the dominatrix outfit but the shroud with the glowing eyes, Spawn-style, I closed the website. Talk about a clash of ideas.
Either make her a slut, or go the zombie-ghost-wraith route. Please don’t do both.
And Venom, in all his coolness, looks dumb in this game. And Iron Man apparently has a fuse loose somewhere because electricity is always around his hands.
Gee, I can’t wait to see how a blind lawyer in latex faces off against an angry, poor racist man who got his powers in the same way as Ernest Goes to Jail.
Fuck EA. At least Power Stone had 2-button combos.

Okay…we got no one even worth getting excited over. What a boring
roster. The same characters I’ve played before.
-Elektra? Horrible look. She looks more like a Sin City prostitute.
-Daredevil? Cool but very weak in this game.
-Thing? I enjoy his character, but let’s face it. Hulk was the better
choice.
-Why does wolverine look like a military grunt? Please give him back his
costume.
-Magneto looks lame. Give him back his costume.
-Venom’s voice SUCKS. Not to mention, why do they make the Thing talk
in a ghetto related way?
-The character intros and victory taunts are some of the WORST lines of
dialogue I have ever heard in a fighting game. EVER.

This is the worst “fighting game” I’ve played in a long time
It’s not like I didn’t know this game would be horrible in the first place. Oh well. The PSP version looks better. It’s C. America and Doom, but besides that the gameplay looks better. No doubt it will still be crap. Just looking at the Doom and Captain America makes me want to play it.
By the way, some of the Imperfects don’t look as lame as much as people say, although they still aren’t all that cool. Some of them are lame. Oh well, I hate this game already anyway.
Not to mention Iron Man saying something like,
“Hope you don’t cry.”

Whoa! I think electra has an infinite! Just knock your opponent down than mash on attack. I think its breakable but most people dont go that in-depth so…
I’m mainly pissed off by how almost all the characters play the same. I remember reading in a magazine review the guy stated that everyone played like Spider man, I agree with him. Playing the demo, I thought the game was pretty cool and the whole idea during the Story mode where you have ‘sacrifice’ your characters in certain missions was kind of a cool idea. But where the hell is Magneto’s armor? And why the hell does this game have no depth. My friends seem to want to play it as a party game so we may get it, but i’ll just say “meh…” for now.
On another note, does anybody think EA did this game because Capcom did one?
I think so, and I say fuck EA and there whole “Some company did this kind of game? We need to do it too!” attitude. They probably will end up abandoning the whole thing and we’ll never see a sequel, kind of like Lord of the Rings Third Age (Some guy at EA walks over to a piece of paper and checks off “Did an RPG” and “Did a cross over fighting game with Marvel just like Capcom did” on EA’s to do list.)
Oh god… I fear next they’ll do a cross over game with SNK! Nah, EA probably doesn’t even know what SNK is.
